I just read through this entire thread, and your attitude... my goodness. You had people giving you good advice, which you threw off and labelled as trolling and hate. Those beveling, shading and embedding tutorials were nice- you even agreed with them, but your recent updates don't reflect any knowledge of them.
Believe it or not, those people weren't being aggressive at all (at least at first, I think they got pretty fed up at the end). From an outside perspective, your responses were absolutely uncalled for.
I have experience with pixel art, though have made few actual Minecraft textures at this point. I don't claim to be as good as some of the other people who tried to give you advice, but here goes:
The gravel looks very out-of-place with the rest of the pack. It is overall much darker than the ore. To combat color and shade clash, what I sometimes do is create a separate image that contains the main palette of my textures. That way, I can form a group of pleasant color interactions which I will use throughout the pack. I find this makes for a more coherent and aesthetically pleasing result.
Your pixelling style lacks form. In some cases, you have outlines, but filling in an outline does not create form. I would suggest starting with a base color for your textures, them blocking in forms with another. From there you can go on to shading and creating texture.
Some excellent pixel art tutorials (some are aimed at making characters rather than tiles- they still provide good overall pixelling advice, though): http://finalbossblues.com/pixel-tutorials/
That is that. You can take my advice (sincerely given, with no hate or intention to troll) or ignore it, as you have done in the past with others. Either way, responding to this post is pointless as I have no intention of arguing with you; this will most likely be my only post in this topic.
Sad to say Bacl, but you're speech and attempt to help is just as likely to go in one ear and out the other, to be brushed aside just like with everyone elses advice was, as well as marked as a troll because you're not saying how 'amazing' the pack 'looks' or agreeing with his ideas.
Everyone, even Lemon, a mod and experienced pack maker has given up on him aside the other new person who must be a friend of his and random commenters.
Trying to help him in any way is a waste of time and not worth the effort .

I thought you said you were leaving taiine. either way, I'm over it now. ( no offense here ) if he had read the whole he wouldv'e seen me say that I'm done with the issue. i did actually take alot of his words to heart, as you can see in the next post vvvvv

i was having alot of trouble conveying my ideas for the pack in 16x, and thats why i've jumped up to 32x. there were alot of issues with the earlier packs i agree. If i may point out, that my bedrock texture did include sum embedding, just so i can back myself up. but yes, I am having a horrible time.
my gravel texture is very early stage at this point, im actually gunna redo it because i couldn't fix the tiling errors. my latest smooth stone texture isn't even done yet, it's not even a smooth stone texture, lol. its actually gunna be what i'm gunna embed all the other smooth stone texture related items in, like actual smooth stone, and ores.
I am definitely gunna take tonight to go over that site you gave me, it looks really good and should supply me with more knowledge that makes sense to me.
I also have no intention on using a pallet any time soon, i believe that the colors would restrict my pack to much. my pallet is the color wheel.
i can see by the thought put into your response that you truly meant no intention on trolling or being mean in any way unnecessary after all, some forms of mean are just constructive critisicsm.
I was having a hard time when all that arguing happened, real life problems were getting to me. sorry also to taiine, you did offer some good advice, but i was having a hard time separating work from the thread,
Sorry for my recent leave of absence guys, I recently started texturing for a big programming group and lost the time for this pack, hopefully i can get some new stuff up soon >D
I've only just got a notice about new posts in this thread but when I saw the area of this post that I haveput in bold I was shocked. I'm pretty sure that a majority of the various tutorial links posted over the last 9 pages will tell you to use the HSV/HSB colour selection thing. Using the HSV colour palette it becomes a lot easier to choose at least half decent colours, I have to point out that the colour choice so far hasn't been great. I could perhaps tell you how I would go about choosing decent colours?
Since i can't hunt down
every
single
color ( XD )
i have actually been using a site that displays every single possible color mix with the advanced color wheel ( being the color wheel+brightness/transparency/ etc. ), that i browse through whenever i need a specific color that a color palette would merely limit me to.
Yes, I do. That's not really an 'Advanced colour wheel'. You can ignore the wheel completely, focus on the HSV and occasionally(very rarely) the RGB. HSV is so much more useful and easy to use than the colour wheel.
I only say "advanced" because of basic programs like windows paint that only has the color wheel and the RGB editer.
I recommend not expecting anything for a few months, school and other Minecraft related activities are rather time consuming. But I will enjoy working on this pack, the rush of something creative, just this time, more prepared for the challenges. I understand what the previous posters here were trying to tell Ctbruce now, about waiting and testing. Only time and slow progress will determine the outcome of this pack. Who knows I may like enjoy this again, make this the priority. But for now, thank you for the encouragement.

I haven't seen this thread since I was just a lurker. It's good to see that you're still active, or at least that someone's still working on the pack.
