well it worked before you toke it down i have now restet all setting on mt modem and my rotter got my isp to clear my dns there end and it still wont work so it must be you
also i was going to donate as i hear you needed help on there but i cant i dont know if i will now after this
Okay. I don't think you understand exactly what we did with our server. We had our website initially on a slow server then we needed more power so we bought an expensive dedicated server all for just this site. We then repointed the website name "minecraftcustomizer.net" at our new server. We never took the website down.
You are seeing those issues of yours because you are, for some reason, being pointed to our OLD server. Those things that are happening are only being done on the OLD server. If you were being pointed to our new server, like everybody else seems to be, it would be impossible for those things to happen because I have not created a script to do any of those things there.
The issue is with the DNS server that your computer connects to that tells it where "minecraftcustomizer.net" should go. Not with OUR server.
I believe I fixed the script on the old server so that it will properly redirect to the "old.php" page telling you that you are still being pointed to the old server.
it seems to depend on the size of the file.
Smaller files are no problem, the 512x512 files seem to make problems.
so its either the pixel size or the 200kb+ size.<
Edit,
seems Adriorn already said that.
BTW, thx for programming that customizer.
nice thing
Edit
items.png works, its size is 103kb so the limit is between 100 and 170 kb
This is very enlightening and hopefully will help me solve the issue. Though I see nothing which would break because of file size....I'll keep poking around.
I'm getting the same error as fish2 it seem.
------
This webpage has a redirect loop
The webpage at http://www.minecraftcustomizer.net/old.php has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.
------
Cookies has been cleared (the whole browsing history actually" and I flushed my dns (just in case) - Still get the same error.
Only thing I could see is that the website dns did not propagate to all the providers and that it might require time to be resolved. This is the most common issue I see when I do a website migration.
The delay can be up to 72 hours, depending on the servers location and the refresh policies.

Yeah that's it. The redirect issue was because I was trying to redirect any traffic to old server to a single page telling them so. I didn't do it right because i couldn't test it out.
I've got on to the customizer twice now, once a few hours ago and once just a minute ago, and both times the pages for my packs and the main browse page are blank. The headers are still there, but where there should be textures (or packs) there is nothing but blank white space. Refreshing doesn't seem to help.

Yeah, and that too.

Medieval builder and texture artists. Also totally awesome.

I can't upload textures to Temple of Aegis. When I click "browse files", I get redirected to the top of the page.
That would mean that Flash isn't working correctly. Cloudflare seems to sort of mess with things a bit. I've been changing settings trying to maximize performance.
Could it be on my end? I used both rockmelt and chrome. Haven't tried firefox or IE9.
I use Chrome as well. I think it happens to everybody. It gets messed up somewhere between choosing the file and before my script processes it. I found out it was not my script. It doesn't even get that far.
It could be the uploader or a server setting. The uploader shouldn't have changed at all so I imagine it is a server configuration that is killing it.....not exactly my.
I realise you're having big problems, but I'm just wondering why there are so many empty or disabled texture packs listed. Are these customisations created by users, rather than texture-pack creators, that are being shown? One texture-pack just says "just a simple test of the software". There appear to be more pages like this than there are legitimate texture-packs.
Seems the "Order by popularity" option on the individual texture browser doesn't work. Or at least, it's not sorting by the number of favourites the individual texture has, like it used to.
Oh, there's also a pack called "Varesh Mix" that's nicked a lot of Dokucraft - The Saga Continues textures.

There are tons of these. Also there really isn't a difference between a user and creator when it comes to pack making. Anyone can start a pack on the site. I have a cleanup script that deletes packs if they are 30 days or older, are enabled, and have less than 10 downloads. This is why we have a sorting option that lists packs in order of popularity etc. Users are told NOT to create "my version" packs especially since they can make their own on the favorites customizer page. I'm sorry if this really bothers you. You should tell everybody not to make a pack if they aren't going to use it.
There seems to be a problem with uploading the panorama images. I can upload panorama4.png just fine but the others give me an error (500, I think).
The issue isn't related to any specific texture. Something, not my script, is causing images of ~130k and above to not get uploaded correctly. I've been working on it and have yet to find a source.
Not yet. Probably will be in future, though.
Anyway, the release is out, so I'll list new textures:
+ Added Carved Stone
+ Added Roller Skates (worn textures in brass_1.png)
+ Added Pneumatic Braces (worn textures in brass_2.png)
+ Added Kettle
+ Added Empty Teacup
+ Added Cup of Tea
+ Added Tea Leaves
+ Added Tea Seeds
+ Added Young Tea Plant
+ Added Grown Tea Plant
- Removed Original mod's Stone Bricks
