This is Very cool sir(s) (or mam(s) :biggrin.gif: )
Figured it out. Will be adding extra alts soon to my pack :biggrin.gif:.
Also, is there ever going to be a way to browse through other packs and add them to the pack you may be customizing? (for instance, ive made most my pack using three of my favs, but i dont know what nether textures are good, so i look through a list of nether items in packs and just choose from those. as opposed to leaving the page and searching adn then faving them only to return and have to redo the pack.)
And lastly (hope im not dragging on), possibility to choose various textures from multiple pack sizes(ex: i choose a 32bit texture pack for the terrain, but i want nether textures from a 64bit pack. and the customizer simply makes the whole terrain a 64 bit pack and just doubles the sizes of all the 32bit tiles in the terrain)
Also thank you for your quick and helpful reply! I really hope this gets stickied (stickyed?)
Today is your lucky day DCraftT!!! I just added a "Save selections" button to the top right of the favorites customizer page. It works beautifully. Thanks for the suggestion!
How do you upload the individual textures? say, I want to have alternate ore and grass available. What do? =3
Seems like a great site so far. =)
Oh, and for the redstone texture, have it show the two textures below it. They're part of the redstone texture.
This is gonna be great for allowing more customization with my pack. =)

On the publish page (AKA edit page), you simple upload the textures using the uploader at the bottom. You can either specify what you're going to upload (like dirt) and upload dirt textures, or you can upload your terrain.png and it'll break it apart for you.
If you have uploaded more than one texture for something (like grass) then it'll automatically make a customizer for it on your page. Its as simple as that.
In the terrain.png, the two textures below the redstone texture are used for detail on redstone. It should be shown on the customizer. Kinda tough to describe. =3
So far, I'm loving this site. Needs support for uploading font textures.
Also, would I be able to make a blank terrain.png and just put the alt textures I want uploaded on it, with nothing else on it? That'd be really useful.

I don't believe there is an efficient way to determine if a piece of an image is blank (if somebody knows how to do that with PHP, let me know). Currently, if you were to do that, it would upload all of your alts just fine and dandy would also have a ton of blank images for other textures that should be showing up there.
The easiest way to do it is
FIRST
- upload your main terrain.png (or other image from your pack)
SECOND
- since we do have duplicate checking working appropriately, paste all of the alternate textures over your main terrain.png (or other image from your pack) and then upload that image (keep it named 'terrain.png').
This is sort of a weird way to do it but its not too hard. The other option is uploading each texture individually by selecting the texture name form the download. This is a good way to upload a bunch of alts for one texture.
But I'm going to find out if i can determine if image is blank in PHP...

yes, there needs to be a more detailed (very detailed) instructions page for texture packers. For instance, i tried customizing a pack and saw that one of the antiquity ores textures displayed the ores over what type of stone i picked(which is very cool). But i have no idea how to do this. and the whole grass, side grass, dirt, side dirt thing was a bit confusing cause, when i tested it out all the dirt and grass was messed up :/
Also thank you for the Save Button Bramamine :biggrin.gif:
But that actually just made me think of another suggestion. How about support for pack codes? like the ones at painterly(you design a pack, download it, and inside the zip is a txt file that has the code to input back into the site to get the same pack settings so that you can edit something you might have missed. or so that someone else can D.L. it.)

I'll work on that. What was messed up about your dirt/side dirt/side grass/grass thing? PM me?

This could be a nice idea!
(If a bit complicated, I wouldn't use it personally, as I'm just making alts for my pack.)
The two spots below the redstone textures. It should be a 2x2 box of the textures. Just look at the terrain.png. There are two empty spots below the redstone. (on the default, at least.) Those two blank spots are part of the redstone texture.
Oh, and in the customizer, the fast sidegrass should be selected with the fancy sidegrass. This would make it a bit less confusing.
AND... redstone textures are usually white, so the fact that they appear on a white background make them a bit hard to see.
looks real nice! but i cant find the quandry, geroduko, or duko. i was looking for those. all i am finding are packs created on this website.
(i made a skin!)
After messing about the customizer for a bit I've decided upon some necessities
for this wonderful, accessible tool...
I. Ability to not only have your pack in "maintenance mode", but to have your pack unseen
to everyone with full accessibility, so that compilation packs aren't berserk in numbers
around the site.
- Or alternatively maybe have a check box on whether the textures are your
own or someone elses...
II. Possibly, the website's own forums, with a comment section including a
suggestions subforum and other subforums including that of a more in depth "how to section"
and more.
III. Complementary to a favoring system, the possibility of voting on
top packs and single textures.
I'm sure as the days go on about using this pack, I will come up with more suggestions
to further improve the accessibility of the pack.
Great job on the tool and it seems that I didn't even need
to message anyone for the top dogs of the minecraft forums to find out about the
customizer!
Then use it! hahah

I'll be posting all of my packs and their 200+ alternate textures too. :wink.gif:

You're welcome! And eww that would be gross.

PM me about the redstone stuff.
I'll add in the font in a second.

Will have to use it, once I start making alternates.

Easily done. I'll add that to the list.
