From who exactly? Alot of these are not copyrighted from what I know. But I will try to check,
Anything not made by you is copyrighted, and needs the creators permission to use.
On the topic of a 'pvp pack', it's pretty pointless. Any texture pack is good for pvp..
Lets give you an idea behind the whole credit thing.
Say I took money from you with out asking. That is theft right?
Now I went to a store to buy something, but said 'This money is from___" 'crediting' you for the money..
Is it now no longer theft due to giving you credit, even if I took the money with out asking and used it how I wanted?
No, with out permission theft is theft even with credit given.
Images may not be money, but they were still made by people who thus become the owner and thus its copyrighted to them even if no visable copyright is shown. You need to gain permission from them, and the excuse that there 'not around' don't give you any more right to use them.
If I stole money from you and you moved, thus no longer being 'around', in the end... it is still theft.
So all and all, you cant use what you didn't make and offer it for download.
But if you wana get more in depth for the law:
Myth #9:
"If it doesn't have a copyright notice, it's not copyrighted."
Myth 10:
"It is legal to copy a work as long as I give the author full credit."
Truth:
Nope. Under the provisions of the Copyright Act, the copyright owner, and only the copyright owner, has the right to reproduce the work unless it comes under certain limited exceptions, such as “fair use” (see Myth #11). Simply giving credit or attribution, without having permission, is the same as stealing Joe's wallet and then saying, while using Joe’s money, “This came from Joe.” It’s still theft.
Myth #11:
"If I don’t charge for the work, it’s not a copyright violation."
Truth:
False. (See Myth #10). Some people believe that they are giving the copyright owner free advertising, and the owner should be grateful. But it is up to the owner, not you, whether he/she wishes their work displayed or published – and in what context.
Myth #12:
"Unless I copy the whole work, it is ‘fair use’ and thus not a violation of copyright."
Truth:
“Fair use” is the most abused concept in copyright law. Section 107 of the Copyright Act provides that "the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords . . for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright.” Fair use generally is a short excerpt, usually attributed, used in connection with genuine criticism, parody, or teaching. In my experience, most of what people label as fair use - isn’t.
And what you are doing:
INFRINGEMENT
The unlawful use, redistribution and/or exploitation of intellectual property that is protected by copyright, patent or trademark. The four basic elements that can establish copyright infringement:
All of the work is exactly copied or reproduced
Part of the work is copied or reproduced
Reworking (or paraphrasing)
Copying the TOTAL concept, feel or essence of a work
Infringement can be punished by law including but not limited to recovery of monetary losses, punitive damages and/or misdemeanor or criminal prosecution.
and convering everything..
FAIR USE
Fair use are exceptions in copyright that are allowable for such purposes of teaching, research and scholarship functions, in the function news reporting, and critiques, reviews or comments on the work provided that the value of the copyrighted material is protected and is not diminished. There are five basic elements in determining fair use:
The purpose and reason for the use
Is it commercial vs. non-profit or educational
The nature of the copyrighted work
The amount or portion of the work used
Does the use of the work diminish the value
Fair use also includes "parody" or a work that mocks or ridicules a work by imitation. It uses elements of the original work to create a new work, that in some way, comments on the original work.
...............this is what happens when you go to school for graphic design and get a whole class on copyright laws...

From the pack creators, obviously.
I HIGHLY doubt some of these aren't copyrighted. You need to check if they have a license attached that details how you can use them. For example, faithful 32x32 only allows the use of items, and heavily edited textures. Also remove the adfly link. It isn't allowed, since you didn't create any of the content or get permission to use it in a monetized download link.
