i figured it was something like that, but i just wanted to let you know. anyway do you have any plans for making this a true resource pack (w/ sounds), or are you just going to leave it ww/o them?
I was planning on making some sounds. I was thinking of making stuff similar to the default, but much smoother and easier on the ears. The records have a lot of scratchy noise, which I know is on purpose since it is on old fashioned records, but a simple trip through the audacity noise removal should make it much cleaner. I could do that for a lot of sounds, make them cleaner, but it may take some time, since it's definitely not a priority yet.

I honestly thought it was just some sort of problem where it somehow showed as a straight pick instead of the curve we're all familiar with. I personally think it sounds like it'd make a good "sword." As for the chest, I personally don't think it went with the pack so I can understand wanting to scrap it. I may have this mixed up with another texture pack, but I thought I read something in the replies where you mentioned that you would be working on the naturally occuring blocks first. I feel there's no need to say this but I strongly agree with that statement if it concerns this pack.
Keep up the good work!
I suppose, thinking realistically, a hammer would hardly be useful in mining. It would be much more useful as a weapon. I'm not finished that hammer yet either, the handle is supposed to be wood, but is just brown right now, so I intend to add a wood grain texture to make it look more like wood.
The chest was started very early on, and it was one of those textures that I looked back on and thought "this looks horrible", so that is also partially the reason I didn't finish it. I didn't like it either, and like you said, it didn't fit, I think it's because it was far too shiny, so I will do it again, and it will be much less shiny and will look more like wood. As well, the naturally occurring blocks are definitely my priority in all packs. That is a general rule for me.
And thanks.

I am in the unfortunate and unusual position of want ting to comment on this thread, but having nothing on which do do so.
Anyway, I think that this pack could really benefit from sounds to enhance the cool, smooth atmosphere. And since you seem to be into music, you could produce possibly some of your own. I read above what you said about it not being a priority, and I definitely understand, but I just wanted you to know that there's support for the idea.

I know that feeling...
It isn't a priority, but I randomly get inspiration for things, so I might get it done early if I suddenly get inspiration for it. If I make music, perhaps I could make a smooth version of the Minecraft songs, and play some random stuff with my guitar for custom music, and people could just choose which they want? Maybe I could play a guitar version of some of the calm songs in Minecraft... All stuff to consider.
