So i'm working on my night sky and have come across an issue.
Is there anyway to use a layer to mask off parts from behind?
Here you can see i have my stars and my clouds but i want the clouds to be in front of the stars as they are on another layer and move slowly.
I've tried all the blend methods but with no luck, i could go back to just the one layer with clouds and stars as one image but it's nice to have them moving.
It's possible to render more than one skybox at one time, so you could put another layer of sky in front of or behind the one you have that will mask out the stars. IIRC, it renders them in numerical order, starting with sky0, sky1, etc.

Yeah problem is you can add as many layers as possible but all the blend methods except REPLACE uses transparency so something will always show through from one to another.
That sadly is just an issue with better skies. :/ Best bet is to only have one during the day and a miner one at night that wont show such an error.
Yes it just a limitation i guess of what it can do, tis a shame.
As you can see the on the static image it gives the right sense of depth. I can fade out the clouds before the moon hits them to get round that being in front at least.

Multiplay will add transparency back in to the blend effect so the stars will still show.
I'm trying to look at as many skies as poss but not found one yet
