I recently downloaded and activated PureBDcraft texture pack. Now all that happens when I try to load Minecraft is the Mojang screen appears with the texture pack, and then the window goes black. I deleted the texture pack from my computer, but it still acts like I have it. I can't get into the game to fix it. Somebody please help me.
Well to fix the black screen problem get MCPatcher or Optifine and it should fix it. As for the second part... Idk, have you deleted it from the Recycle Bin?
Force update when you log in to minecraft?
If that doesn't work, find the options file in the .minecraft folder and erase the texture pack part. (It should select default)
Where did you put the file for the texture pack after downloading it? If you put it directly in minecraft.jar, that could cause the game to crash. Some texture packs have file types like .lang or .class used for some advanced things, and will only function properly if the texture pack is in the texture packs folder outside of the bin folder. If these file types are put directly in minecraft.jar, this could be your problem. Upon opening the minecraft launcher, choose options and force update. If you are using the new launcher, either use a different build version, or locate the files for that version, delete them, and redownload them by choosing that version.
Yes, never ever EVER instal a texturepack right into the minecraft.jar. That over writs the default and can cause both game crashes and graphical issues.
Instal the pack by placing the downloaded zip (don't extract it) into the texturepack folder.
If that doesn't work, find the options file in the .minecraft folder and erase the texture pack part. (It should select default)
There's yet more to come!
