That's fine. But I think you're missing the point of what a simple pack is supposed to be. With both your previous sand and this one, you were trying to make the texture look like real sand. Or at least make it look approximately like real sand. But the point of a simple pack is to convey the feeling of 'sand' through patterning and color, not through mimicking real sand.
Here's Neoncube's palette. He told me to post it for him since he's on vacation.
I might...might just switch over...
My god, I can't do this one either. Only 4 colors for the greens and 4 colors for the rock colors. God dangit. /facedesk
Dilemma i'm facing: Most if not all my textures are at least using 5+ colors. Was having difficulties with Steel's palette, so moved to Neoncubes, and there isn't enough colors for the textures I already made. I though I did good going to epiclizards, only to realize that none of the colors there will work with sand with my basic design of 5 colors in sand. Urghhhhhhhh

I thought you had to re-start completely if you swapped palettes?
The dilema I am having is Lizard's palette has very low sat blue greens, and no good sandy colors.
Yhep. Overall I believe Neoncube's palette is amazingly adorable, but It doesn't have enough colors for my -already created textures- . So. I don't know what to do now.

Well, you could restart.
It is a buch of effort, but if you like the palette better, so be it. I am sticking with Lizard's because I will use custom colors to change how some blocks look (If steel lets me.....)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The official Bluebird continuation is underway! Please come and help keep the pack alive!

I am seriously loving how it is coming out. Actually, I might even like it more than color chips. Idk...
Ok, here's my 16 colour palette, hope someone likes it! (even though it's late to the party, I just made it this morning cos I never realised this was starting so soon... >.>)
Please not that the white background and black text are NOT part of the palette.
Now, looking at other people's palettes, it may not have enough option for colors. It it a simple pack though, and I think a challenge should inspire you to use colors differently than you normally would. If it has every color you want, there's not so much point of having a palette.
Here are some sample textures I made to give you an idea of what the colors look like:
I know some of these aren't as simple as some people traditionally think of as "simple" packs, but its' just to give you an idea, and for me,
Oh, alright.
Is this simple enough?
It's looking nice. However, the sidegrass, snow, and mycelium seem to be lacking shadows underneath.

Me too.
I made logs, they look realistic AND simple from far away
I wont upload pics yet though, maybe tommorow XD
I felt a shadow might not have fit in with the simplicity of it.
That's my pallette. Is it too late to join?
Not at all.
No. Have fun! I gtg now.

In other words, yes. I pretty much would have to.

Now if I understand the rules, I'm allowed to choose a palette to use and start. Have an idea or two already for this.
