This mod is very popular, and I don't see many texture packs being compatible with it. I decided to make a template. This template is a zip file of the folders you need to add to a texture pack to make textures for the FTB mod pack. Some folders are merged, because it would be extraneous if you have two folders - plus your computer won't let you have two folders of the same name in one place.
Anyways, this template may be imperfect. If you experience any issues, please notify me immediately. It also contains the original 16x textures, so you may want to make an HD pack.
I highly recommend being very ambitious, because this mod pack contains more blocks than the original Minecraft itself!
FTB creates a new .minecraft folder, but I'm not entirely sure where to find it. This is important because that's where you need to drag your textures folder. If you drag it to the normal .minecraft, it will only work for vanilla, not FTB. If you know where it is, feel free to tell me.
Thank you for providing this, I'm sure this will help everyone who makes texture packs and will definitely help me out in completing mod support for my packs.

No problem If you find any problems, feel free to notify me. I had never made an FTB pack yet, so I don't know.
Thank you very much for taking the time to do this, I have only found one pack so far (Sphax BDCraft) that has almost all textures for FTB. Hopefully this motivates some artists to make more, the pack has more users/downloads that anything else Minecraft related right now, so its really something worth getting involved in =)

Just an fyi Soartex has every texture done for FTB. I by no means work on Soartex but if your looking for one they have it =)

Glad you enjoyed How Sphax and Soartex had these done so quickly I don't know, unless there are multiple artists. I made this for TobiwanK3nobi, since we were talking about it. He's looking for some artists to help him.

They have small communities behind them who help by adding support to stuff... I know I will be using this when I am ready but I need to get the default textures first LOL! Thanks so much for posting it!

They are multiple people working on it. Also they have supported a lot of the mods before FTB was released so just matter of updating and making a few changes.
Now if only someone would do this for Tekkit, I wouldn't be spending hours trying to sort out what is what and goes to what XD
I have never actually understood that. You would think the mod developers would make a texture file for artists to make it easier for us to support their mod.

But I have to play and download tekkit first... I'll try to do this as soon as possible, but I still need to see if the FTB thing really works.
If you could make one for tekkit, that would be amazing. Making a pack for it is taking ages trying to hunt down just where all the textures are at, and at times it's a game of 'Oh thats not what I thought it was' and that makes it take even longer. @.x

Sorry for the double post but I thought I would inform the OP about this. FTB will, by default, create a folder for the modpack in the place in which you had the launcher when downloading the modpack. You can change the location in the options, it should allow you to specify the download location or something along those lines.
EG. Launcher is placed in "C:\Users\BOBISEPIC\Desktop". Magic World downloaded. New folder created at "C\Users\BOBISEPIC\Desktop\MagicWorld" with all the files in.
I honestly don't care if a person double post-- not sure why people hate it so much. Anyways, thanks for the help

Oh god. I installed FTB out of curiosity, tried it for a few hours and liked it. Then i saw this thread, thought i could add mod support to the texture pack... and saw the amount of files. 708 textures!! I don't think i should do it...
It takes a dedicated artist. TobiwanK3nobi is even recruiting artists to make his textures mod compatible.

Which mod? I haven't played FTB a lot yet.
