I don't know what you're talking about, I don't have problems with mediafire, if your browser freezes, consider getting a new computer instead of asking everyone to change their ways so you will DL their packs too. Using chrome with no addonds, and no problems, at least mediafire doesn't have rhose ****ing retarded waiting queues
guys , calm down please , there is an alternative way to download files through the filetram;) as i prefer to do it

Filetram.com new search engine that allows you to download on rapidshare, megaupload and other the most popular file sharing services without waiting time.
It's those ****in' sites that make you wait 45 seconds before you can download it. and that stupid cartoon guy who "blows up" the button to get their premium service. now THAT is annoying.
Mediafire is a great site, but people should really use Dropbox or better yet get their own webhosting.
I pay for a webhost myself.
Direct Links ftw.
If anyone wants me to host their files on my webserver, just PM me and we can discuss it...
(not for money ofc, felt the need to add this... not trying to spam/advertise paid services. lol)
i dont even know what to say to you. mediafire is a legitimate website whereas all you need to do is install a 5 second app to your browser to never have to worry about in your lifetime. with my growing texture pack, i will soon need a place to hold it, and your saying that just because your too lazy, you wont give it a shot?
If you'd like to help me out, I think the best thing you could do is check out my YouTube channel, even more than voting up my reputation, though that'd be nice too.
Mediafire has treated me just fine, I scan the links before hand and if something makes it through my free Antivirus software takes care of it. Haven't had a problem with the site in many many years. It's also faster downloading speeds than other sites I've used.
It seems it is an old thread. However, I would like to say, that if you use direct linking no one needs to suffer from ads or any of that crap. I would presume so, anyway. Have used AdBlock for ages now.
Not everyone has access to a reliable host, especially one that can keep up with the demand of a more popular pack. This is coming from someone who DOES have a host.
However I don't understand why everyone is jumping on the guy, as even if he is a bit aggressive about it, his concern isn't unfounded. Sites like Mediafire run almost purely off of ad revenue, and they can't be 100% vigilant about all that ads that are run on their service. It's not surprising that some(or many) people were attacked by maliciant ads, and made them never want to visit the site again(at least when there are competing websites out there that haven't wronged them). Even this VERY forum and wiki suffered the same fate last week. You can say that you've had the best experiences with Mediafire, but that doesn't apply to everyone.
The best thing people can do in this position is provide a handful of mirrors using different hosting services.
