Um, What? It's not about 'looks' that define an indie pack, it's about the public popularity and download count. Unpopular packs are defined indie for their lack of press in a sense.
Hey Peyton, I was going to wait until my terrain.png was finished to apply, but I've made a lot of progress, and as soon as I have the terrain plants done (hopefully by tomorrow) I think I will apply! Nice thread you guys have going here, let me know if you need any help!
I shall apply as well (one day). I'm currently working on a 32x texture pack, I haven't got a lot done yet and all progress is happening very slowly but it's still happening. I'm probably going to start doing more regular updates to it soon, until I have enough to release it
Something else I would like to bring up is the 'pack of the month'. I think if this thread ever does take-off and get a larger amount of pack listings, it should do a 'pack of the week' instead. While each pack would have less time in the spotlight, there would be more packs shown and it would be beneficial to a larger amount of people.
We've been through this before,
1. There's not really enough packs to make a pack of the week yet.
2. The purpose of the pack of the month isn't to help as many packs as possible in a short amount of time, but to be some sort of prestigious prize. You don't do Oscars monthly either, do you?
I was just thinking that considering the whole point of the thread is to promote new/unknown/unpopular packs, it would be beneficial to everyone if there was a spotlight presented on more packs. While I understand winning pack of the month is supposed to more of a prize I still believe it would be nice to 'push' different packs regularly as it would really help out a lot of people in getting their pack to take flight.
I'll have to agree with Jimmy. The stone in the background look quite good, if you made the font/gold more pixelartsy to match the background, it would look a lot better.
Yeah, I think we will just use yours.

The official Bluebird continuation is underway! Please come and help keep the pack alive!
Those look good at textures, but the problem with textures is that they are designed to go on a block, and tile in groups of other blocks.
The point of a trophy, or prize, a symbol to put on a thread, is for it to look good standalone.

What does an indie pack "look" like?

That statement doesn't make sense....
My wip 32x texture pack.
Yes I can!
No, we are arguing what an indie pack is, not if it looks indie.
yep =3
Read the applications section.

Nope, we do it on the 20th of each month.
And for the Pack of the Month I added a gold vein
I personally prefer Gigfran's over these, but I want to know what you think.
Yeah, I think we will just use yours.
