I think some kind of unnatural wool should be completely transparent except for a bat on the front (maybe one with a Raven too), great for maps. One should also be Cobwebs (messy dirty webs) and another one normal Spiderwebs. The current wool is great too though.
Also, Oogie being the moon is an awesome idea! However, him as Glowstone looks cool too. I also think Admintite should be Oogie's tiled floor.
I think a version with the Nether being Christmas Town, and one being Halloween Themed is good too.

Sweet deal, I'll have to dig up that texture patcher.
This is what I've got so far. There may or may not be useful ideas here- I was really going for more of the look of his more realistic films, like Edward Scissorhands or Beetlejuice, but there's a bit of Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride influence in there too.
Top Row: Log, Top half of wood door, Torch (I'm really quite happy with how the chandelier ended up looking), wool, brick, bookshelf, wood, monster spawner, top half of iron door, log again
Bottom Row: Log, bottom half of wood door, soul sand, netherack, plain ol' dirt (when it grows grass, the top just gets browner and drips down the sides, as seen far right behind the setup,) stone (this looks pretty sweet when tiled), bedrock (broken areas are transparent,) sand, bottom of iron door, still log
Base: Cobblestone
And of course, a bed.
Awesome! That's a very nice one, reminds me of England around the Industrial age...
So yeah, no matter what happens, I'm still for the opinion that Nether=christmas town. Infact, I'm willing to help if we get to keep it that way. :biggrin.gif:
Yeah, I agree with that too.
Only, I will include the current glowstone block for people like myself who don't often visit the nether.
Have you seen Glimmar's Steampunk pack? He has two whole sheets of alternate blocks you can use, I'm thinking of doing something like that with this, so people can pick what they do and don't like.
This also means we can use Kamikaze's wool, and also include spiderweb, etc. wool, as well as maybe some other types too.
Great idea, unfortunatly ran into a problem when trying it. With the exception of glass, water, torches etc, very few blocks support see through textures. Yes you could see through the block, but you could also see through every block behind it as well
I tried that too. Weird. My fix is to just have white cloth with a black background, and white spiderweb.
That's how transparent blocks always work, it works this way if bricks have errors and the incorrect textures are on them because you used, say, a 32x32 pack without updating it. We'll just have to live with it. Makes it feel mysterious, no? Or just not attach it to any wall!
So, er, Imo, we should plan nether stuff already, for the christmas pack and the halloween packs.

I like having options. :3

My wool may get into the pack!
I like the idea of that but I would much rather it say Minecraft then Nightmare:)
