Hello. Today I decided I would start playing MP, which is fun. But, I have a crappy laptop. (crap top!) and even with optimine I still am lagging on multiplayer. So my only solution is to find a low-res texture pack. Seriously, I love minecraft but on my computer it's pretty laggy. Anybody know of any texture packs updated to 1.2?

Some people use thought as an escape from contributing in life.
Even if you got a low-res texture pack, if wouldn't make a difference, the texture pack would still be 16x16 (since that is the lowest it can render) and a 'low-res' texture pack would just use 'bigger pixels', meaning Minecraft still has to render the same 16x16 pixels for each block, meaning no better performance.

You've used opti-fine to turn off all the animations, fog, etc-etc? If so, the only things I can suggest is tiny render distance or wait until a new laptop.

That is VERY wrong. The default terrain.png is 256x256, but an 8x terrain is 128x128, meaning that only 128 pixels have to be rendered with an 8x per block, unlike the default, which renders 256 per block.
