I'm currently in progress of finishing up my first public Texturepack. The sides of the grass are kind of bothering me, but I'd like to know what you guys think as you probably have more experience than I do.
Add a shadow on the dirt under the grass so it doesnt seem stuck on. Maybe try adding some highlights and shadows on the grass itself, to give more depth.
This texture isn't very good, it shows us that you lack skill to make a texture. By using a solid colour this shadows your lack of skill. Further more detail needs to be added; the use of darker colours to add shading, and lighter colours for, well lighting.
On the side grass there needs to be shading and highlighting, not only on the grass, on the dirt. Along these lines the dirt texture needs to have detail as well.
I would advise rethinking these textures.
This was aimed to be a simplistic pack at first, so I didn't want to focus on such things at the time. It was also my first texture that I made.
Since then, I've improved and also changed the style, and most of my recent textures reflect that.
This is great constructive criticism, thankyou. I'll be sure to take this into account.
Thanks, guys! it's looking better now, but I'm still going to tweak it as I go on. (while trying to stay true to my artstyle) I also switched to a different color palette to give myself a larger color choice, as that was one of my issues.

-snip-
Try making the shadow a bit darker, and please change the grass so that it's not bucket-fill :/

That's what I was thinking, too.

I didn't mind, lol.
Sure, although I'm still gonna do it on my own, I'd like to see how you would tackle it.
EDIT: Looking at other packs, I see where I went wrong with the grass.
