How can I get the default Texture Pack from "minecraft.jar"?
I was trying to make it greener and a bit more vivid, so, I need to extract it.
Thanks
Download either 7zip or Winzip (7zip is free, while winzip has an "infinite trial",just dismiss the notices [I use 7zip]), then right (or command) -click on the minecaft.jar folder, and you should see a bunch of folders like gui, terrain, lang, etc. , and a whole lot of .class files. Scroll through the .class files until you come across the lone terrain.png file (I'm not sure if everything's in alphabetical order), and open it with an image editing program like GIMP (free) or Photoshop (not free). I use GIMP because it has most (if not all) of photoshop's elements, and is very intuitive, and you don't even have to read the tutorial.

Hope I helped!
