I was recently playing Grim Fandango (AMAZING :L), and then it dawned on me. Recreating the game's feel through minecraft textures would be quite the experience. I have already started concept drawings and research into the two main artistic styles of the game: Film Noir, and the Aztec Day of The Dead. I hope to combine as was in the game these two styles to create a minecraft texture that could draw the player in alike Grim Fandango.
The reason for this post is to request advice, currently I use GIMP, MS paint and scanned images that I draw. I plan to do this texture in 32x32. Any ideas, aid, input, criticism, thoughts, ect. would be greatly appreciated.

Of the game or of the texture pack? There isn't enough done on the texture pack to screenshot, let alone test.
