Every time I try to use a mod like equivalent exchange with a 32x32 texture pack, some of the blocks like netherrack and the bricks start to look really weird. The mods work fine with a 16x16, but those look really ugly :P. Help is appreciated.
It is not mods. Gold, netherrack, bricks, pumpkins, and probably some other things are all glitched unless you use the HDPatcher. There are also features of some packs (Certain colors being changed, animated textures, etc.) that will not work without HDPatcher.
Use the patcher to install the mods, installing mods after using the patcher might overwrite the patcher's changes, and installing mods before using the patcher may make the patcher not work right. Watch the video in the patcher thread on how to add mods with it.

Do i install modloadermp, modloader, and forge with those? cause those files overwrite each other. I used to mod all the time, but i felt nostalgic and played vanilla, thus forgetting everything
Yes, use the patcher to install those mods. Hit the plus sign, select the mod's zip file, confirm the files and go to the next. If using those three mods, install modloader first, then modloaderMP then forge. I'm pretty sure those are all compatible with each other. At least I think forge is compatible with modloader but I'm not sure about modloaderMP.
