The Village Square is a quaint 16x pixel art pack that stays true to the concepts of Minecraft while varying the styles. It contains vivid color and pleasant-looking mobs. It's up to date with 1.8, and is 100% complete. Use the quick links to navigate the page; I’ve made sure to have plenty to look at. I hope you give The Village Square a try!
Dark without being creepy, and shiny without being flashy.
If this page looks a bit disheveled, or if the buttons don't work, it's because I'm doing some maintenance. Please be patient I will always have the download link up, no matter what state the page is currently in!

Thank you to those who try my pack out! I hope you all enjoy!
This pack is excellent. It's still recognizable as Minecraft while being interesting and pleasant to look at. It's nice to see differences in the shape of different tools/weapons made of different materials too, that's always a good thing. A couple things I'd suggest editing: the text is a little hard to read due to the serifs and shadows, and the grass seems a little too detailed for such a common block, can get dizzying. All in all it's a beautiful pack, and I hope you continue working on it.
Really loving this. :3
I think my only gripe is that the dirt texture feels more like a brown cobblestone instead. I also share the previous criticism about the grass.
I think an easy way to fix this without changing the texture style would be to just lower the contrast on the shading to something softer, and a bit easier on the eyes.
The overall coloring looks quite nice, and the shapes of the textures are well done, but the contrast is very high. I would simply suggest lightening the dark colors that make up the 'cracks' between things like the stone and dirt textures.
This is awesome! I always love seeing a new pack get posted, especailly when it's this good. I'm not always a fan of pixel art, but this is spectacular!
Your grass is so awesome that it makes me hate my own. Grrr.

Thank you, that means a lot coming from such a talented and revered artist -w- I actually made the grass for a top-down rpg project that I quickly scrapped, and just transferred it over. I figured it may not look right at an angle besides top-down, so I'm glad to hear it integrates well.
I really wish people would just direct-link to their Curse listing and not use their often-glitchy button thingy; but to each his own.
I didn't know it was being buggy ^^; then, when i went to click it, it was gone so I provided an alternate link. This page'll go through some heavy maintenance soon anyway.

I like the use of the colors, and it's quite pleasing to look at. I really like it, hopefully this pack will become more popular later on. Other than that nice!

I don't care if you hate Comic Sans. I'm going to keep using it.
