This texture pack aims to replace sort of ugly blocks and items, while otherwise keeping the default look of the game as it is. I started out with the diamond tools and related items, but included more and more features over time, which did not only replace content, but added some quality of life changes that are meant to enhance the overall playing experience of the game.
It is highly recommended to install Optifine, since many of the newer features require that to work.
Each of the tools are meant to look unique but still minecrafty
The armor is designed with the same concept of uniqueness in mind as the tools.
However, I replaced the leggings with a tunic like shape. This makes it look like you are still wearing a chestplate
when the elytra is equipped
Ores and related Items and Blocks:
More unique ores. Diamond and redstone block are more vivid. Lapis, diamond and emerald item are more realistic.
Emeralds are slightly more blueish
Miscellaneous Items:
Better looking items. The trident is meant to be copper.
Miscellaneous Blocks:
Improved blocks. The beacon looks more like the nether star. Grainier diorite and granite. Bedrock resembles gneiss.
Randomized bookshelf. Better obsidian. Standard galactic alphabet is replaced by runes.
Sand and Sandstones:
Darker sandstone. Randomized dead bushes Much brighter more realistic red sand Comparison
End Blocks:
Brighter endstone is meant to resemble the surface of the moon, because I sort of imagined the end as a different planet in space. Also, endermen have creepier eyes.
big end city
Darker purpur.
Brighter endstone bricks
Environment (Sky / Sun / Moon / Lighting / Water Colors):
Better water color
More realistic sun. Different light colors at sunrise/sunset
Moon texture and different light colors at night.
Warm torchlight.
Vegetation (Randomized Grass, Fern, Flowers, etc. / Grass and Foliage Colors):
Tundra: Different foliage colors for different tree types, as well as a much nicer grass color in cold regions
Mountains
Taiga: Randomized ferns / tall ferns and mushrooms
Plains: Randomized poppies and grass, and as usual grass color.
Sunflower plains: Randomized sunflowers
Flower forest: Randomized flowers, and different birch leaves color
Jungle: Slightly darker grass and foliage colors, and randomized ferns.
Swamp: Randomized orchids and water lily
Savanna: Drought like grass, but greener acacia leaves, as well as brighter water
Crimson forest: Randomized crimson roots and fungi
Warped forest: Randomized warped roots and fungi as well as nether sprouts
The desaturated corals, coral blocks and coral fans are meant to look much more natural.
Villagers, Illagers and Pillagers:
Villagers are now apemen. Finally, one does not have to look at these noses anymore. Also, plains villagers have improved clothing.
Evil apemen. The eye color changes according to their personality, or something :-)
More natural looking farm animals. It made no sense to me how there are domesticated animals roaming the wilderness.
Camo creepers. They are also biome dependent, randomized, and thereby sometimes with leaves attached.
Desert creepers
Tundra creepers
Cave creepers
Randomized zombies. Some look like Alex, some like Steve, some are more decayed.
Randomized skeletons

GUI:
Overalls darker GUI. Whenever I open the chest or inventory, my screen flashes a little because the GUI is to much brighter than the rest of the game. Now it should be fine. Also, there is a subtle stone texture on the GUI surfaces. Improved GUI for furnaces. Now it resembles the type of flames at the front. Bubbles on the brewing stands GUI are now similar to blaze powder. The purple arrow is meant to resemble the magic substance entering the potion, which fits the theme in my opinion, because potions have the enchantment glint.
Redstone and Noteblock:
I tried to make redstone look more technical and crystal like. Noteblocks now have the musical note with their respective color on top. The 4x4 letters are perhaps a little hard to read, but I tried to preserve as much of the original notblock texture as possible.
All musical notes are numbered from 0 to 24 in Minecraft, which is shown on the side of the block.
Credit goes to Jasper Boerstra, Mojangs pixel artist. A lot of my textures are somewhat or even almost completely based on his work.
The new randomized flowers are inspired by Trrigg.
Also, a bunch of textures like sandstone, end stone and many others are inspired by Misa.
How has nobody commented on this yet? This pack looks great. It doesn't suffer from the common issue of breaking the magic of minecraft with unfit textures. Good work!

Thank you so much.
It's nice to hear, when people appreciate the things as they were intended to appear.
And it is really an interesting balance for me:
- it should be sort of faithful to vanilla
- make it realistic (diamond sword, right? :D)
- trying to make it look good
- personal preference
- functionality (really hard to balance the noteblocks for example)
