I will be reviewing the textures on Monday. Stay tuned.
1.16 is going to be hard but we may get a boost from some pre made stuff to aid us.
Update: Many of the textures look very nice and I will be working on implementing them during the next couple of weeks. Very nice job on the horses. Only the zombie horse needs a texture but I can figure something out for that. The wandering trader is also missing textures and there is currently no difference between tool smiths and weapon smiths (I can fix this). Your work on the turtles and bees is fantastic. The kelp is good but something about the middle stem makes it look like it's flashing rather than moving. Overall excellent work! We may get this project back on its feet in time for 1.15's release.
I'm glad I could help. I read that the zombie horses got cut somewhere, so I didn't update the textures. I can still make some, however it will most likely be more like the original Minecraft version. I do have a non-Subnautica version of the kelp, but maybe it would be better to start from scratch on that one. I did some of the 1.16 textures too, so if we somehow don't get everything ready before 1.15, we'll at least be able to ensure we can release an 1.16 version on time.
EDIT: I did have a normal version of the kelp, but it's really static. Sorry.
We can keep the Subnautica one as a good place holder for now. Yeah, Zombie horses can only be spawned by eggs. I will handle them. I also noticed that pandas and foxes are still default. I may be able to make some custom textures like how I did llamas.
Edit: I am confident in the patch's current state to release a WIP version of the patch. It works with 1.15 and most textures have been finished. Please let me know if anything else is missing.
This patch is amazing, you've done a great job! I've missed Painterly, it's still my favorite pack so it's wonderful to be able to use it again in recent updates. The only issue I've had is that the compass and clock are replaced with a pink/black square and don't work. Is there a way to work around this? I do have the patch above the pack in the load order and I made the pack itself yesterday.
I'll come back after some quick testing with different compass models. Tried unzipping and copying clock and compass files from a pack that works in 1.15 but it didn't work. No idea if it could have worked but I tried. Clock/Compass both show up like this no matter what I do. Is this happening for anyone else? It doesn't happen in 1.14, okay. Probably already aware of it.
I just realised that we forgot the scaffolding and scute textures. I did improve the colour on the terracotta's, but I didn't change their design, for the most part.

Hi, long time painterly pack fan here. I noticed your downloadable 'updated' pack, wasn't actually updated to new resource pack formats, so I start work updating my own personal pack. Is there a git-hub or something you guys are working on updating this through?
We've mostly just sent our files to @GerbilCrab via dropbox or something. Speaking of files, I've started on some textures for the items in the newest snapshot. I'll send a pic; any feedback would be much appreciated.

fits with the original outlandish painterly variants, I like the armor and weapon. Though I dont like the gem stone look for those ores though.
Ill just keep updating my own personal pack, unless there is someway to collab setup like a discord or something to make working on stuff clearer. EDIT: Im considering making a discord group for this so we can work on it, would that be more helpful?
This is a bit of a collaborative effort. Both MR_Creep111 and myself (as well as a few other contributors) have made efforts to update this pack. A discord group would make things easier for collaboration. I will make a few updates to the GUI within this Wed-Fri as I have a few days off then.

Yeah, I noticed a few things broke when updating to 1.15. I will look into these soon as well.
Discord would be great, but I wouldn't know how to make groups with it. I will join up if you, or anyone else, decides to make one. About the Ancient Debris though, I just didn't really know what too do with it. I have wanted to use those Bismuth textures for some time, however. Unless they decide to give us some more info, I'm gonna use either this or something BotW-related.
Anyone know something cool we can do with the Warped planks?
Edit: How do Discord groups work? Do you post a link, or do we have to pm our usernames?

I think groups are actually called servers. If that's the case, a server can be created to run on its own (like any old server), and anyone can join it who has an access link (which the creator can give out).

I made some fox textures. I'll add them to the dropbox link. Fixed the chest textures, too.

Foxes Added. I forgot about berry bushes but they are now in the patch.
Praise be to Spode.
Forgive me if this is addressed; how does one customize the new version of the pack, since the customizer is so out of date?

Thank you so much for continuing this pack been using since I was a kid!
Make a custom pack using the customizer and use this patch with your custom pack.

It doesn't happen in 1.14, okay. Probably already aware of it.Have you found a way to fix it? I'm playing on 1.14 and I have the same problem with the compass and clock.

I thought I added some textures for scaffolding and scutes (as I noticed that they were missing so I improvised).
I have noticed that I forgot to add some GUIs for the 1.14 utility blocks.
Praise be to Spode.
You did. I just forgot where they were. If I could just make a loom, we would have all the non-entity 1.14 textures.

Beautiful, So happy to see this alive again, you guys are doing great work.
