It is truly beautiful Matteorizzo. It's the most real looking, detail intensive texture I've seen. The bump mapping is beautiful and I believe it's the best any of us have seen. I do have a question about it. Is the pack still a work in progress? I notice the doors, grass, flowers and other blocks are still original. Also, I want to ask with the specular turned on in the shader options, why does cobblestone always look so wet? Even the wood planks and bricks looks as if it has just rained.
Thank you SO much! I'm so happy people enjoy the pack, and this keeps me going, and I'm very excited that a new update is coming (relatively soon). The pack is still VERY work in progress, a lot of textures are missing, and the style is going to be very fancy even without the bump mapping. I'm working on the entity folder right now. Updates will come, but more slowly: I planned to release few packs with more textures at once.
The look of the specular maps depend on the shaderpack, I can't control it, unfortunately. You have three options:
- get rid of the _s files
- decrease the light of the _s files
- tweak the settings of the shaderpack
About the screenshots, never saw something like that.
Really good new ! If it massive we can waiting ! You've a date ?
A date is difficult to set... maybe a couple of weeks, it depends on the time I can give to the pack. School has the priority now, so I can't work full-time on updates, I'm moving slowly but results will come.
Here's a quick preview of a couple of textures without normals and displacements.
I hope yes, but I think not so soon..
I don't like to push out thousands of updates with few textures.
I don't mind constant updates with just a few added tidbits each time. I am actually constantly checking to see if you have added even a few kibbles to the mix. Every few textures you add are taking the place of lesser packs, and I welcome it with open arms; I actually wait with baited breath as I've already tasted the batter of this delicious cake.
If you have stuff that isn't released and it's not hurting you bandwidth-wise or whatnot to upload in small chunks, please feed me; Mordred is hungry.
Thanks again, your work thus far has been candy to my eyes.
Made an account just to comment on your beautiful texture pack. Runs great with SEUS 10.1 Ultra DOF Motion Blur blah blah (The best one)shaders with 60fps lock. Incase you're wondering, here are my specs because I know shaders and bump mapping is a very computer intensive task and you're probably wondering what kind of CPU I have to run it at 60fps.
Acer Aspire v17 Nitro - Black Edition (couple upgrades)
8x Intel Core i7-4720HQ CPU @2.6GHz (Overclock to 3.4)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M
16GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 8.1 Pro Version 6.3
also took some screenshots on high FOV so I could show some friends, but can't upload all 4 here because apparently it's too large.

How am I supposed to do my signature, unless my brain isn't thinking straight.

I'm so sorry to answer SO late D: I've been away for too long. I'll make some more textures as soon as I've time, but my other hobbies (real life included) are taking so much time... But thank you for your kind words C: I'm working on another texture pack, I should stop starting new packs that I won't finish... This project takes a bit more time and inspiration, I'll continue it as soon as I can. I hope you understand.

First off I'd like to say how incredible this pack is! Like you, I love vanilla minecraft textures and can't really get on board with most of the other packs most recommend. They're all too divergent from the original. This pack sticks to the vanilla textures and enhances them in such a way that I never thought could be possible. It is truly beautiful! Your work on this is a testament to your awesome design talents. I really can't get over how gorgeous this pack is.
With that said, however, I seem to be having some difficulties getting the bump mapping to work correctly. I've noticed that it only seems to affect block which are in direct sunlight. Interior blocks (with or without torches) and blocks on the exterior with torches at night don't seem to show bump maps at all. Is this supposed to be how it works? Forgive me, I'm unfamiliar with bump mapping in general. This is the first pack I've tried to get it functional. I've attached some screens:
I'm running 1.8 with SEUS 10.2 preview 1 Ultra. I have both your normal map v5 and the bump map v4 loaded at the same time.
Aside from that, a few suggestions on which blocks to work on next if you haven't already begun:
The tall grasses: they clash way too much with the grass blocks.
Netherrack (and quartz if it's not too much trouble): I love messing around in the Nether, but I dislike how pixel ridden netherrack is. It desperately needs some smoothing out imo. Although I dislike most of them, it seems like it should have more of a fleshy appearance similar to other non-vanilla packs.
I hope I'm not coming off as pushy.
And once again, this is absolutely fantastic work! Other designers should take inspiration from your work. I eagerly anticipate the next release.

Thank you for the kind words
So first things first, I'm unfamiliar too with bump mapping, and never noticed that problem, it's really disappointing...
Anyway, I'm actually working on the next release, and I'll add your suggested blocks as soon as possible
Looks amazing but the bump map is not working for me :/ i have no idea why, i have the latest versions of optifine and sueus installed
Unfortunately, the bump mapping pack is not updated to the latest version of the pack
It'll be out soon, in the meantime, check out this post about getting the Shaders right http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/shaders-mod-guide/
Oh, and don't forget about loading a shaderpack! It's a really common error: I recommend KUDA, but for a perfect lightning, you need to try SEUS

Thank you so much Hope to finish it soon, maybe before the 1.9
Hey, he's great. I love him! I hope to finish, come on, come on! Bump and specular highlights.
Hope to finish it soon. The maps will come a bit later, I'm experimenting new softwares.

Ah. I see. That's somewhat disappointing. In any case, the pack is still gorgeous with or without the bump mapping.
Thank you for the kind words

You're welcome
Just a remind: the new textures have no bump mapping yet, I'm working on the maps pack 06 right now
Man, this pack sure is pretty. Excellent work, Rizzo.
+1
P.S: LOVE the bump mapping and specular mapping with the Shader's Mod. B E A U T I F U L!
