Also something to note, the author of this resource pack (for whatever reason that is beyond me) added custom sounds too this resource pack download. Open up the .zip / .rar of the resource pack, and click into the assets folder > minecraft folder > and delete the sounds folder inside. This will remove any of the custom sounds that this guy didn't tell you was inside the pack.
Just a heads up for anyone having problems getting the clouds/sky to show. For me, the mod Astral Sorcery was causing the issue, but it's fixable. Open the config file, astralsorcery.cfg, and find the following section:
# IF a dimensionId is listed in 'skySupportedDimensions' you can add it here to keep its sky render, but AS will try to render only constellations on top of its existing sky render. [default: ]
S:weakSkyRenders <

Add a 0 like so:
# IF a dimensionId is listed in 'skySupportedDimensions' you can add it here to keep its sky render, but AS will try to render only constellations on top of its existing sky render. [default: ]

How will this effect the mod itself?
I want pretty skies but I also don't want the mod to be played all weird or something.
The texture pack is at the top of the list so is taking priority.
Render Distance is set to 14 (according to other help forums 8 is the minimum required to see clouds, though people don't seem to understand the difference between the actual clouds and the clouds that are just part of the sky textures, regardless I have set it to 14 just to cover my bases)
So I did some research in the packs files and found out, that the pack has basically no stars at all (well there is a png file named starfield1 but with no texture just blank). I checked the previous versions, if it has some pictures/files containing stars assets and nothing to be found.
So what I did was I went to authors Default HD resource pack that had stars in it, coppied the png starfield1 and replaced. In a result I got this view. Its not perfect, but it will do. The stars are sort of in front of the clouds. If any of you know how to fix this please post bellow your solution.
May I ask why this pack does not have any stars? I believe that this pack would be much better with stars. The current version is great anways.
Didn't display the clouds at first. But apparently, renaming the MCPatcher folder in the zip file's directory to "optifine" fixes that. The more you know!
I just have one question, how do I enable the stars? You said something about a previous version containing the stars. Where can I find this older version and how exactly am I supposed to do this?

The first version of the pack has the stars, its in the same folder roots as the sky. It wont be hard to miss. Just drag and drop it in the same place in the current pack and it will work.

I know that, I just wanna know where can I find this first version. Because as far as I can see, the 4 curseforge downloads all contain the exact same files both in the environment folder and in the mcpatcher folder, that is, I cannot find any extra star images in any of them. I also don't know if you're talking about the environment folder, or the mcpatcher folder. Both contain some sky images.

That was intentional. It allowed me to climb higher in Google results as people will search for the misspelling.
It still works even though it says incompatible. Not sure why its giving the incompatible. Just bypass the confirmation asking if you want too use it.
Here is a picture of it while i'm also using faithful 32x32 resource pack.

Is that bird... smoking? "Don't you judge me! That darn fire princess down there did this to me!"

can you have the stars be above the clouds??
It is available in the old version. You would just need to move some files.
Glad to still see you on the thread, excited to see this coming to 1.13.
ooo, a signature. ʢ◉ᴥ◉ʡ

Custom Sky in the Quality settings is set to "ON"

Hello,
I have problem that stars dont show on sky. I have it set to stars on and nothing happends. Does anybody know a solution to this?
btw thanks so much for making this amazing pack. It ads a lot to the game.
//edit: the stars are in the files but it just does not show. I have the pack moved to the top of resource pack selection window.
I have the macpatcher renamed to optifine. If not renamed the resourcepack does not work.

Make sure that you changed the the file named mcpatcher to optifine.
You have to click throu the packs files and find it.
The stars are in the older versions of the pack. You can manually add them to the new versions. I may just release 2 versions of the pack.

Whichever is the first version will have it.
