Any chance of bump mapping or normal mapping support?
Definitely something I'm looking in to! Currently I'm not amazing at doing more complex things with photoshop but in september I'm going to college for 2D and 3D graphic design so I will do my best to make this pack look as good as possible! I'll start checking out youtube tutorials however and who knows, maybe you'll see a new version of the pack within the next few months?

This pack looks amazing, and I'm dieing to try it out. For some reason though, its not showing up in my resources folder in the game. I've tried 256x256, 128x128, and 64x64 versions. All of which are in the resource folder when I access it through %appdata% and go to Minecraft, but in the actual game, its not an option like my other resource packs are. Any idea's on a fix for this? I'm running Minecraft 1.8 if that helps.

How much RAM did you allocate to the minecraft profile you're using? And do you have the 64bit version of java installed or the 32? Also, what version of windows? Thanks!

I allocated 3.75 GB to Minecraft, my computer only has 4 gigs total, of which 3.75 is usable. (According to my computers statistics, anyway!) I have the 64 bit version of Java installed, and I'm using Window's 7, 64 bit! After double checking everything, I looked and the Resource pack still isn't showing up, despite being in the folder!

That's very weird... Hmm, what kind of RAM is it? (eg. DDR, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4) If you're not sure then download Speccy, it's a program that analyzes your PC hardware and it will tell you everything about it. Anything older than DDR3 can cause issues with running such a high-detailed texturepack. Also, do you have 1,2,3,4 RAM sticks? A friend of mine has 6GB of DDR2 which would normally be enough, but since he has 6 separate 1GB sticks he can't view the 512x pack either unfortunately. Alternatively, try deleting the 512x pack you have downloaded currently and re-download it and who knows, maybe something was accidentally altered in the one you have currently. Let me know if that works and if not, let me know what kind of RAM you have and I'll do my best to let you know if there is a fix to the problem. Thanks!

According to Speccy (Since I wasn't quite sure my self!) I have DDR3 RAM. I'm also running two RAM sticks, each stick is 2 gigs. I try deleting the packs I have, and redownloading them. I'll try the 64x64 and the 128x128, I don't think I can run anything much higher smoothly. I'll report back if that works, thank you for all the help!
If it helps, I noticed there is too many folders in the 128x pack. When you open the .zip folder, there is another (unnecessary) folder. It is a simple error in compressing the files. I had the same issue w/ it not showing up and had to remember how to compress the files without getting that pesky extra folder. If my instructions aren't clear and parts of you get stuck in a ceiling fan, well, I can try to make instructions easier to understand
Here's the fix:
-Unzip the contents into another folder or somewhere similar (7zip recommended)
-Select the four files/ folders from the pack and right click
-7zip>Add to 'newfolder.zip'
-Once you have a nice, shiny, new "newfolder.zip" you can rename it to whatever you'd like (I used what was on the original RP folder) and place in your resource packs folder.

It's quite nice. There are a few things that I don't like the textures of but that's so subjective on what one person likes and another doesn't so it will be easy enough to change them to what I do like myself.
Strangely enough, the 512x pack runs fine on my couple year old laptop:
Asus G74
16GB SRAM (6GB dedicated to run Minecraft with the ATLauncher)
Windows 7
i7 2.8GHz quadcore CPU
Nvidia GTX 560m with 1 or 2 GB dedicated VRAM.
Thanks for the suggestion! Possibly in the next update?

Thanks alot! I wasn't aware of that.
This worked perfectly, thank you!
Good to hear that it's working now!
