Best resource pack ever (so far). All the blocks feel like they fit together. I've been trying many "high rated" resource packs and many of them the blocks simply don't fit, for example putting gravel next to cobblestone or next to cooked stone and the look is so startling different that they look like they came from different packs, not so with Triton, everything to me looks like it belongs to the same group and so it looks like it belongs together.
Awesome! You updated it again, and as always I go around and do a couple of checks here and there to see all the nice new features you've added, as well as some of the sprite work in general.
There are a couple things i'd like to mention as I've been exploring:
Amazing work, everything blends together so fluidly. No mix-matches or oddly-paired blocks
I love your style and interpretation on some of the pieces, albeit your bread looks a little funky to me i'll admit.
Vivid colors (in the right locations, I should add) brought my pale and otherwise stale-feeling world to a new degree of life.
So far so good, and I can't wait to see more of your work. I hope we get our next update with great haste! I know you've been busy on some of your other projects but again and as always, I really dig this pack, and I hope to see more of it in the coming months here soon.
You really outdid yourself this time, give yourself a good pat on the back.
Is anyone else's double tall grass showing up as gray? Hadn't really noticed the issue until a couple weeks ago.
Also I see that more 1.8. mods are starting (very slowly) to show up. I've put together a personal modpack for the first time in ages... who knows, I might actually PLAY minecraft soon.

Most reccent works:
Yeah my double grass is gray.
You are already working on 1.9? Awesome!
Soon could you texture the cats? I constantly find packs marked as "complete", but they didn't texture the cats...

Dat purpur brick tho...
Is there any meaning to the runes/symbols/whatever they are or is it just random junk? Seems like a good place to put hidden easter eggs if you wanted to.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Timeless Modding is kinda dead but idk what to put here now

I'll try and fix that then.
You're very right... people don't seem to texture cats very often. Now that I think about it... they're only found in jungles, which are incredibly rare now, AND they're hard to tame (for me at least)... so they're like, one of the hardest things there is to get in the game.

They do translate to words! So does the text on stone slabs, the enchantment table, and and the dispensers. I plan on making one of the paintings into a cipher so people can decode the runes if they want.

I've been playing on a private vanilla server and the owner told me that there is a jungle at like X:7000 Z:5000 and i'm at I believe X:1000 Z:-600. Dug hundreds of blocks in the nether, made a portal, then waited a very long time until an ocelot spawned, and I tamed the ONE that spawned and it was black and white! Exactly like I wanted (due to my real life cat).
See ocelots aren't hard to tame, it's just that most people do it incorrectly. People think it's just chase them and feed them fish, but no.
You hold raw fish in your hand and hold shift and stand still. You can look around, but only if you move the camera VERY slowly. Nearby ocelots will slowly come up to you and then you can tame them, unless you move and scare them.
So general consensus is to go ahead with stair models. I'll do some experimenting and see what kind of models I can make. If I come up with anything that's too obtrusive, I'll keep it as an add-on.
Love it keep up the good work!
Lol sure looks like it...
oh boy there's an update! Seems like I'll have to pick up minecraft again c:

Great job OP, keep it up.

I occasionally make textures/models for random people. Contributed to: Tinker's Construct, Growthcraft, and Animals+
PixelQuest 2, my new 1.10 RPG/rougelike-inspired modpack, is coming soon!
I'll try and fix that then.

Saw you posted that on Reddit, came here to say it's awesome!
Hey!
Triton now has an official Facebook page! Give it a 'like' if you want!
New poll available!
(When I say stair models, I mean similar to the ones the Conquest 3D models pack has)
Textures are coming along well. As of this evening, everything in the 'building blocks' tab is tritonified.
Wow, I gotta say... The results are quite a slap in the face... No mercy... xD Keep up the great work man You do such an amazing job
I'd like it to be an addon in case it doesn't work well at certain times.

It's been a while since somebody's posted here... not a bump!
Looks very good, well done!
