My name is KnightMiner. I started playing Minecraft arround 1.6, though I started designing this pack for my brother back in 1.4. It started as some random Mario textures, then I did much work to make it look good. Now most every texture is Mario style, and some of the sounds too. Recently I decided this pack could be even better with more feedback (and I wanted others to use the pack too) so I have decided to put this pack up for download.
Place above 1.8.8 version in resource pack menu. If using the snapshot pack, the 1.8.8 version will require confirmation to add.

Ooh, competition!

What is that dirt meant to be? It's difficult to tell from a distance, but if the dirt dirt doesn't have to be that bright orange, please change the colour to something less saturated, as that orange is not a very pleasant colour to look at.

The dirt was from super Mario Bros. 2, though it must have been a weirdly colored screenshot, or I changed it to be more different from sand, that was an early texture. I will try to tweak it to make it nicer colored.
Hmm, it looks nice with the wet farmland color...
PS. Your pack looks kinda nice too. Has more of a classic Mario feel. Though you might want to do what you did to podzol to grass and mycelium.
Edit: Just noticed the alt texture for grass and mycelium...

Haha, yeah. I will probably make those alternate textures into the main textures in the next update, anyway.
Snapshot! 14w07a is here with one new texture, the iron trapdoor. I actually drew this awhile ago when I was thinking about making a mod, and I liked it enough to keep it around.
A new feature from the snapshot I decided to try out. Here is the new end portal frame.
Note: You may need to restart minecraft before the new model loads.
Update: Fixed UV errors (order is north, south, west, east, not north, east, south, west), added a custom bottom texture, and added a custom side texture

I don't think the Mario wiki owns Mario... >.<
Also, The Spriter's Resource is very useful for finding sprites. They don't always follow the correct palette, though, but that's an easy fix (usually).

Yeah, earlier I edited it and it deleted all my line breaks before I noticed. Fixed now.
And the spriter's resource looks helpful, I'll see what sprites it has.

Update: Fixed some UV errors. enjoy.
Thanks! they were one of the most fun mobs to add sounds to.
