Just for the record I too would like to state how much I appreciate this patch and how great it looks. the Stained Glass idea (instead of merely colored glass) is brilliant and has been incorporated into several structures as an enhancement aside from just color coordination, and I *REALLY* love the Slime Block texture -- the little bubbles trapped in there just make it so perfect
Hey everyone...thanks for all the support.....just under 100,000 downloads on mediafire. Wow!
I recently saw where Misa is still unable to work on her texture pack. I know we were all hoping to see her return, but real life takes precedence. I haven't done much with the patch lately mainly since we aren't getting any new patch content. I am still around and will try to keep things usable since we all are hooked on Misa's texture pack. Be sure to use the latest version of mcpatcher (fixed the ugly grey water..whew).

and likewise, thanks for all your help with this.
on the side, I would like to know if it might be possible to split your patch into two segments to account for the difference in how you did the stained glass vs merely colored glass, so they could be applied separately for those out there who prefer just plain colored glass, as Misa had pointed out that she preferred keeping it as close to traditional minecraft as possible, in her own texturepack's thread.

Hey WebDragon..thanks for the support. As for the plain colored glass..I didn't feel the need to make that since pscof42 had already done it in his earlier patch. It might be a few extra steps, but you could easily copy his colored glass textures over mine. Check out his thread pscof42 misa patch
Easiest way is to just open both patches in winzip or winrar and drag them over. Hope that helps for the time being. I may make 2 files eventually for the purist and one that contains some of my other changes like ores, stone, etc
I just discovered that the Steve skin in this patch pack is badly broken in 1.7. I don't know enough about hypothetical skin changes between 1.7 and 1.8 to know whether this is to be expected.

it does state specifically that this is a patch for Misa's textures, for 1.8. See above reply to me from Les, for the link to pscof42's 1.7.x patch for Misa's pack. "tl;dr" only gets you in trouble, You silly person.

Hey CaerMaster,
Yeah, they changed to Steve texture format in version 1.8 so my patch corrected this. You can still use my patch in 1.7 if you delete the "steve.png" file in my patch. (look under \assets\minecraft\textures\entity) That will revert back to Misa's original steve.

OK, I suspected the skin formats had changed. Thanks for confirming.
I presume that means all custom MC skins have to be re-generated to work in 1.8...

No, only the other way round. The skins of 1.7 are 32 x 64 pixels and can be loaded in 1.8 , but the 1.8 skins are 64 x 64 pixels and cannot be loaded in 1.7.

Ah, so forward compatible then, but not backward compatible.
Hey GuyLegend, the ugly grey/white water rears its ugly head whenever there is an update. You'll just need to roll back to an earlier version until mcpatcher gets updated.

Actually. GuyLegend is in luck, as mcpatcher 5.0.3 is already compatible with 1.8.7 : http://goo.gl/zz5ovp
Just a quick update: Version 1.9 should be out sometime this week (supposedly) and I'll try to update my patch as soon as I can. Meanwhile, some of you may not have noticed, but Misa actually snuck in a "stealth" update to her texture pack (see her thread). I'm adjusting my patch to remove any overwriting textures so I'll only be adding missing textures and nothing else. This means my granite, andesite, diorite, banners, painting, and stained glass are all gone (good news for some, and bad news for others).
Well, I've been working on the latest patch for the snapshots and getting a little frustrated with everything that's broken. I've gone ahead and posted what I've done so far...consider it a snapshop patch for the snapshot
Anyway, still lots to be done (I haven't touched the shulker and they broke the clock and compass...ugg). Be sure to get Misa's latest stealth patch (Misa+) and as always props to her for the great resource pack. I've made things work without mcpatcher (oh crap, I forgot about the water...oh well, add it to my list).
Thanks Les, I wasn't looking forward to trying to create some of those missing textures. I'm not an artist, trying to to do something from scratch would have been a nightmare for me.
I've thrown a link to some of what I've done on Misa's page, if nothing else I did do some decent re-models, someone might find a use for them.

Thank you so much for making this patch
But why do i have grey/white water?

Seriously? I love that slime block texture with the little bubbles in it, looking like a congealed lime soda or something
Isn't there a version of misa that has HD Font?

Now get ready for duel wielding and shulkers

you might consider offering the stained glass, and paintings as a separate add-on, because I liked those.
Thank you Les! Keep up the amazing work! My favorite pack using it for years, Thanks to I can continue!
