Images available in the second (news and updates) post! I definetly think an OP re-write is in order, but with Curse so buggy atm, it's not something I'll be doing for quite a while, probably until the GUI is revamped, which would mean new topic headers/etc. anyway.
Also, don't forget that the Gany's Nether textures are accidentally out-of-date with the latest version of Gany's Nether. Durp.
Here's my in-depth video review of your resource pack, I really like it. great work.
I would really appreciate it if you placed it in your first post. Thanks!
Not too bad! Maybe you should've gone over the hostile mob sounds a bit more... I think you would have liked them.
Unfortunately, the OP turns into formatting code whenever I try and edit it, so I can't add your video at the moment. I'll get it up eventually, though.
Just a heads-up, the custom sounds will NOT work with the newest 13w42a snapshot. If you want to fix them, rename the "sound" folder to "sounds" and drag ther records folder into it.
I most likely won't release version 1.3. until the official MC 1.7. release, since 1.7. packs won't be backwards compatible with 1.6. versions thanks to Dinnerbone's weird idea of changing the "sound" folder to "sounds". Plus, 1.3. will hopefully be quite a large update anyways... might as well wait until Mojang does their big release as well.
I plan on making many fundamental changes to Day One's overall look and sound in the next update, which will include changing the vignette and colormap (both of which have been driving me crazy for some reason), possibly implementing the new GUI, subtly changing the coloring of most of the blocks (hopefully making them more consistent), and lastly, re-making the footstep and block breaking/placing sounds, making them louder and punchier.
OK... got some news for you guys... brace yourselves!
I'm planning a complete redux of the current pack, which will envolve heaviliy editing all terrain textures (and completely re-doing most), editing lots of items, doing a new GUI, and even re-naming the entire pack!
My need to implement these changes has mostly sprung from my recent interest in pixel art. I've been using Day One while playing survival, servers, and LAN with some buddies of mine for the last two months, and in that time, I've gotten more and more annoyed by the overall inconsistentcy of the pack. I want to make it seem more pixel-art-esque, and with less of an emphasis on futurism and survival, and more of an emphasis on it's cartoonyness and... erm... not-futuristic-ness... (while removing some of the underlying negative connotations of the theme and making it a bit brighter and more humorous. Of course that's very subtle stuff, but it's something i still want to change). I should clarify that I'm not re-doing the pack simply because I'm sick of it, although that's part of it. I feel that my art skills have improved drastically, and I feel obliged to fix up some of my old, shoddy work. Also, the forum OP is a bit messy, and I was planning a GUI change not long ago... both good reasons to implement some big changes.
My current plan is to hold off all updates on Day One and focus on re-making the pack behind the scenes. Once it is one-hundred percent finished, it will be put up for download, with a new name (but will still use the same Curse project and the same MCF post). It'll be a big project, so don't expect a release anytime soon. In the meantime, I'm wondering where I should be posting my work-in-progress pictures... on this thread, or the TAU? Any thoughts/prefrences?
TL:DR: Day One will be massively redone and released under a new name, but many core aspects (such as custom sounds) will remain the same.
I apologize for (and thank!) anyone who thinks the pack is perfect as-is, and that I shouldn't be redoing so much stuff, but I assure you that it'll be much better once the official release is completed.

Seeing how I composed 5 songs and some 20 sfx for them... which still haven't shown up, that's not likely. But who knows...
We shall see on official release.

I pretty much abandoned this pack quite some time ago, so don't expect any future content. Glad to see you like it, though.
Oh and if you do and to others having problems, just change the "sound" folder to "sounds" 1.7 thing
