That was okay, Nether; I didn't want to sleep today anyways...
Anyways, that was one AMAZING res. pack.
The only problem I had was the glass sounded a bit wonky; a bit weird in quality.
I was wondering; how did you make your sounds? I find it weird running around town with a mic recording sounds, lol.
Actually, yes! And you'd be amazed at the stringent animal-labor laws you run into getting their voices on record! Sir Angus of Boerff was particularly nasty about the reverb he didn't care so much for on his contribution. The humans were far worse to work with, though. And the rain god...holy crap! Don't even get me started about the rain god!
From what I've used of the sound pack so far I've loved every bit of it. But I noticed something that may be an issue. I can't get the paintings to show up right, It's almost like the file is too big and it only shows pixels but looking in the painting file It's too good for me to butcher by resizing. Maybe I just installed it wrong but I've tried editing things a little to see if I could make it work (Short of resizing) Other then that this is amazing.
Also I love your profile image (And painting) Did you make it yourself?

The art file for the paintings contains some of my own original works, and some silly ones just to add some beautiful humor to the game. Your avatar is also absolutely adorable! Very nice artwork, Laria.
As for the fix for the art...hmmm...
To install the art file, you need to open your minecraft.jar under your %appdata%.minecraft folder, browse in the jar file to art, and overwrite the kz.png file in there. I don't know if replacing that file in the textures/art folder outside of the .jar helps with scaling, but I get full art every time. Perhaps there's a setting you need to change on a visual mod like Optifine, or a GLSL shader thingy.
I am VERY glad to hear you are enjoying the sounds. If you want a really GREAT moment just to jump ahead of the game a bit, try a brand new creative mode world and spawn the Wither. The boss music and the horrifying voice acting of my dear friend Michael Raine is really something else!
If you want the art outside of Minecraft, I have ALL of my artistic creatives, songs, poems, everything...all on my personal website:
I have about 15 NEW pieces I would like to add to the site but the owner commissioned them of me to illustrate her children book; she did not give me show permissions, and then she had the audacity to go completely mad; literally mad, insane, demented....crazy and all that, hearing voices, seeing people that aren't there...and the book never got published. I Never got paid either, so, I am trying to figure out if I can reclaim ownership of those arts for showing/downloading. Have fun on the site and with exploring the full scale of SnowSong.
I think the only sounds in this i dislike is the portal sounds. Not really sure why either, cos i dislike the default portal noises too. uninformative criticism i know. I don't find it jarring, I've chosen to take out sounds i find too different, or some like the blaze which are well, yeah.
do u have a recommended program for previewing the sounds, cos atm some are too short for vlc to play
I just made an account to say
OMG
THIS IS EPIC!
Good job on this pack.
This definitely has to go places
its like, epic! KUDOS!

you did a great job ,snow
little small problem though, not sure is it just because of me..
the sound effects are generally too quiet than the original ones..while the noteblock is too laud than it
but i love this res. pack so much and i wanna keep using it so i turned my volume to the max then i scared the crap out of myself while i'm punching a horse.. :'(
COMING SOON: Almost done with DRZhark's Mo' Creatures sound revision! When it gets his approval, I'll let you know. Once that is finished....I am working on free-form music themes as a way to add on to the original SnowSong!!! You'll be able to choose and mix/match themes to your liking music-wise. I am also working on an ingenious idea for adding that boss music and biome ambiance everyone desperately craves! Stay tuned!
I am giving the volume for bats a boost.
I am giving the Blazes a gender change...down 25 cents in pitch.
I will also be balancing the volume levels of the Noteblock...consider though...these are intended to radiate maximum sound across a far distance. The original sounds are quite soft...but paulscode makes them blare like aluminum trumpets!
I did not do the Horse and Donkey SFX...originally...muahahahahah! DrZhark gave me permission to do a total re-work on his sounds! For all the critters! Perhaps other top-notch mods would request my engineering (Mystcraft, Twilight Forest especially).
And for GOD's sake, someone please teach me how to make my own sound events so I can ADD what is missing! Workbench ambiance, biome-specific ambiance, BOSS music that follows the player that spawned the entity, ending credit music! If you are a QUALITY modder capable of these things, contact me! I will give props AND pay to get this working perfectly! I have great ideas, plans, etc...and an idea for a sound method that will boggle your brains!

Sorry for the late reply but honestly the problem is so minor I'm not concerned by it, I also just use Dokucraft paintings and such as a suitable replacement (Although I have peeked in the png and I love what's in there)
Anyway. I think the problem is my graphics card or some other nonsensical thing because others can see it just fine and I've tried everything from vanilla all the way to the latest forge, (I'll just assume my computer doesn't know what it's doing, it isn't the best hardware on the market to say the least although it is windows 7.) Still loving the sounds though. I copy Snowsong into every texture/resourcepack I use.
Oh and all credit for my icon goes to Kacey Miyagami, I'm merely using it as it's the closest thing to reflect my persona (And minecraft skin)
Lastly I did indeed check out those links, you are a wonderful artist and deserve praise for what you do, I've directed all of my friends to this page and you have touched many lives with your art. I thank you for your dedication to making minecraft a better game (Even though I'm just a common nobody who just happens to know how to type their feelings.)

Dear friend...
If you read my poetry...an entire chapbook of over 150 poems FREE on my website (and no, it doesn't suck) you will know that no one is a nobody...and no one's experience in this world is "common". All of these creatives are gifts I received and then chose to share; with you just as much as anyone else. This pack won't make me famous or wealthy, but it will touch lives, and hopefully make them better, if even for a few moments here and there. Indie game developers have the most to gain from the use of the FX here. A pack like this would normally cost a dev literally thousands of nickels to incorporate into their games.
Anyway, just for you, as I have not advertised this anywhere else, I have 8 NEW pieces of traditional and digital art on my DA page...only! These aren't even on my personal page. Enjoy and share them!
Ok.
I downloaded the pack.
Played around with mobs and such.
Decided that it was AWESOME.
Then I made a Wither.
I'm beyond words. Literally made my jaw drop. I have yet to test the Dragon - someone mentioned that one is similar.
Seriously. This pack is amazing. Surprised it isn't more famous!
Thank you for making this!

Drag the SnowSong>Assets>Minecraft>Music, Records, and Sound folders into the Sphax>Assets>Minecraft folder, or wait for a 1.7 snapshot to come out.
The snapshot is out!
