I've been playing around with making textures for existing models. Some things like fences and gates can be really cool with higher resolution packs, but what I'm really after is a vanilla Better Foliage implementation. :)
This looks awesome! You're doing a fantastic job in continuing the development of Isabella II. I've always been a big fan of the look of Isabella II but always desired just a little more detail here and there and it looks like you're achieving this.
...Given that the OP doesn't seem to be actively developing this resource pack anymore I think you should consider taking over and starting your own thread. I'd say 'Officially' taking over but I doubt you'd get any permission since Srugs hasn't been seen since Jul 2014. GL and keep up the fantastic work!

Thanks but I am focusing on this as a branch for my server (so I've changed some things like foliage colours that people may not like). As long as Minecraft is updated I'll be updating the resources, as I've settled on these textures ever since Isabella II was released and can't come to fine anything else nearly as aesthetically pleasing. So that's why I say one is free to use any of my textures for a continuation of Isabella II as mine is more of a branch than that.
I worked on some flowers. I had them in as WIP textures for a while but I've finished them now. The original peony was a bit thick I thought so I made it look less like a succulent. I was the one who made the original rose shrub for the continuation and I didn't like it at all, so here is a better one. The lilac is less droopy than in the one in the continuation, and I cleaned up the base a bit. I also found a unused "paeonia" image in the pack that had 3 blossoms and had yellow centres, so I changed the poppy to be it but to have the same colours as the original poppy. Personally I like the more blossoms and think it looks more like a field of poppies than each one having a single blossom. The original single blossom texture is in the pack still if you want to switch them out.
Spent the night/morning working on new textures. Subject to change, of course. I reorganised the resource packs on my Github to go more clearly by version, as well.

Your updates are fantastic and I like that you are adding subtle colors here and there to add a little life to the pack. Thank you for this and I wish you luck with it.
Here are some of the latest snapshot updates. Also, the stone textures have been tweaked to make them blend in with the environment and produce more usable building materials.
I honestly can't imagine ever wanting to use a different pack. I swore by Isabella II for the longest time and I'm sticking with you on this one as well. I was having issues with the 1.8 custom models though. Got some spontaneous magenta blocks here and there o_o it's weird. So I can't use those. But I DO use absolutely everything else.
I don't know what I'd be doing without SuikaCraft XD
I really hope you've gone over the head of the person who started this thread to attempt getting permission straight from bonemouse. Because I'd like to see you fork this completely.

Is anyone actively working on mod support for Isabella II? I'm currently using the 1.7.10 release from the FTB forum, but I'm wondering if there's anyone else that's actively doing it as it's rather uncertain whether the individual from FTB is willing to add support for other mods. I've been using Isabella as my main texture pack since before it became Isabella II, I have no plans to abandon it if it starts to become outdated but it is nice to have synergy between different mods. There tends to be a rather jarring difference in value between Isabella and Vanilla textures.
Your continued work on this small treasure of a resource pack is the most appreciated continued support outside of Azanor and his support of Thaumcraft. That having been said, do you have any plans to support Thaumcraft releases? Azanor designed the look and feel of thaumcraft textures and models after the Isabella classic pack.
Do you have any plans to do a 3d version? Please message me if you would like to collaborate, as I've been thinking of doing a 3d Isabella successor pack for a while now.
suika, I cannot thank you enough for keeping this pack alive! I was looking over all of the textures and I found one that you are missing. The overlay for the water/glass collision is still default Minecraft bright blue. An easy solution would be to make a copy of "water_flow.png" abd "water_flow.png.mcmeta" inside of the /blocks folder and rename the copies to "water_overlay.png" and "water_overlay.png.mcmeta" respectively.
That change would wrap up just about every texture in the game.
Bone Block is one of those textures that Mojang did quite a good job on, and, as some Isabella textures are just tweaks of the vanilla ones, I think this one is suited for such. Tone and whatnot have been tweaked to match that of the bones in the pack.
Magma is quite the pain because it emits a light that seemingly lightens up the block, rather than making it brighter. As such, trying to have floating bits of netherrack or a netherrack border as I had done some attempts with just show up as really light and do not match the nearby netherrack as such. In daylight, it shows up fine, so you can see how you can't just trick it to match by making the netherrack bits darker. Also, it is just weird to have bright hot magma blocks that don't flow, especially when they are on an arch in the air. To make it work, I've tried to do more of it's own texture instead of the netherrack/lava mixture that Mojang has done. I think it looks good next to lava, but you still have that weird lightening when it is in a dark area on its own.
Nether Wart Block is, well, what you'd expect.
Red Nether Brick is Nether Brick tuned to the same hue/tone as Nether Wart.
Re-did the Structure Blocks because I now know what they are. I thought they were just some technical blocks.
Of course, WIP as they are. Next to work on mobs! And I still want to get to redoing the rose and lilac textures I made a long time ago, I still hate them.

I'm extremely appreciative that someone is still working on this texture pack. I genuinely can't play Minecraft without it.
I'll be working on the new textures this weekend, hopefully I'll have something out by Monday or Tuesday.
On a side note, it seems the textures for compasses and clocks were changed yet again, and the cactus texture with the custom model has been broken...
The ugly chorus plants asides, I'm quite excited for this update.

Isabella was my favorite texture pack and only one I really ever used for a long time when I first started playing. Thanks for continuing this. ^-^

1.9 is coming to release soon, so here are some of the items and blocks added so far.
Latest commit includes the once again changed boat textures and the new sprite for the ender crystal.

Hey, Suika, I was wondering if you had a download link for the 1.9 pack.
Right click the file and save it or left click and then click "View Raw" and it will download.

Thanks, added it in. I never build underwater so I didn't know it was a thing!
When are you going to update to 1.9?
Working on some new 16w20a textures...

Amazing work.
Wouldn't it be more practicle for us if you started a new thread? So you could update the main post from time to time with new versions of this pack?
Very groovy. Keep up the good work!
