davste0816's Nostalgic Resource Pack: If you are feeling down and want to remember how great Minecraft used to be when everyone was a noob, this resource pack is for you. This resource pack includes many old and familiar animal noises, as well as the old door/chest sound, and the old "hurt" sound that will be forever missed by the Minecraft community. All of the textures from the alpha and beta years are now being used and can be seen below the download section. All of the textures are included in version 2 of the pack. Also, the yellow slogans on the title screen have been somewhat edited to seem like they were years back in the alpha and beta versions.

I was about to dive into the good old splashing sound... BUT IT'S STILL THE SAME!! ><RAAAGE>< Just kidding, but please: could you change the water from the water and texture one?
EDIT: Hmmm... I reloaded the pack and the water sound is now old... What the heck?
EDIT 2: There seem to be 2 different water sounds, so 3/4 times it sounds normal, and 1/4 times it's the old alpha sound...
Yes... I see what you are talking about. I went through all the files again and checked the splashing sound and sure enough if was a problem on my side. It was just a problem that I included some of the new files in the wrong folder and this should be fixed soon. There may be other problems like this so please point out any problems so I can fix them soon. The splashing sound should be fixed by tonight!

Wow, we hit over 500 downloads on version 2 of the pack and over 1000 downloads in total from all of the versions combined. Thanks everyone for supporting my work and hope you enjoy playing with the resource pack.
Hey, would it be possible to add the bright wool textures if they're not already there?
Also, could you make a version for me without the stone furnace top and with the new charcoal texture? That's the only thing I hate about this pack. Other than that, it's awesome!
Ummm.... Yes, I will be glad to make a custom version for you but I do not remember the old wool textures. I did some research and well yes it turns out from versions 0.0.1 to Beta 1.2 the wool was different but there is one problem. I can change the wool back to the original colors but the original spectrum was much different. It did not include as many grey/white/black shades (i.e: light gray, dark gray, etc.) but it included too many shades of green and blue. Some of these textures do not have appropriate names in the current version of Minecraft (the old version included teal, light green, dark green, green, indigo, light violet, and three shades of purple) and this will cause a name-to-texture problem. I will try my best to tune the textures back to how they were but the spectrum will not be identically the same. Sorry for the all the text, just wanted to inform you. Hope you enjoy the pack and PM me for the custom version you wanted.
Wow, we just hit over 2500 downloads in only about 100 hours. Thanks everyone for supporting my work and hope you enjoy playing with the resource pack! If you have any requests, private message me for more information. If you have any suggestions or comments, please post them on this forum.
I have done some testing with different wool colors and textures and I am wondering if anyone would want me to include the wool textures in the full release. Thanks for the support everyone and happy mining!
