wow. i am stunned. this resource pack would be AMAZING with some aethetics mods, like shaders, water shaders (unless already a feature in shaders, duh) animated players - oh god, just imagine, steve on a horse, staring of into an orangish sunset, across the semi-wavey ocean with a forest on the side and its leaves and tallgrass bobbing up and down, in the backround a snow-capped mountain - wait when this resource pack comes out and all the said mods come out for 1.6 then i might try getting a snapshot of that, front and back to advertise/celebrate the release of this resource pack because IT IS AWESOME.

hey dude! your LITHOS resource pack is awesome, cant wait for it to be fully finished! one thing though while its W.I.P, and because its a resource pack with the new sound feature, maybe you could change some of the sounds, like villagers actually talking not going 'murh! merh! murh merh!', but because there still... umm... stupid they could say stuff like 'i like spoons. i like forks. spoons! forks! SPOONS! FORKS! SP - FOR - SPO - K - ON -' 'ladies, ladies, have a spork!' and so on.
I fixed up the OP, adding back the download stats and banner that got lost when the forum webpage ate my post.It would be pretty cool to see the Lithos banner in somebody else's signature.
I'm trying Curses as the main download -- I'm interested to see how it works out. The stats seem goofy. I know it's not the downloader's favorite, but adfly does give you the best stats of anything i've tried.

I don't know if there's going to be a point with Lithos "comes out". Getting all the blocks done will be an important milestone, but then i'll go back and start revising a lot of them as well as start working on icons and GUI, and maybe fancy features like CTM or animations.
Player contributed screenshots that show off the blocks well are welcome, though i'm unlikely to use a lot with shaders -- they look cool, but most players don't use them, so it doesn't give a good impression of what the pack is actually like..
My central goal for Lithos is to improve on the vanilla minecraft. Vanilla graphics are not great, but IMHO the sound quality is pretty good. I've tried my hand at sound-effects more than once, and i'd have to work really hard to come up with something that's almost as good as vanilla. Sorry, i'm not going to add sounds, unless i see a way i can improve things, not just make them different.
Love the textures! Once it's 100% done I'm definitely going to use this!
The only things I'd change would be the clock to a digital one, make the SUPER gold ables more SUPER looking, make the Golems a little cleaner and that's all.
But that's me, the faithfulness in this pack is what makes it.

I've decided to release less frequent updates with more content, so the next one will probably be 2 weeks away. I've been spending too much of my texturing time packaging updates.

Actually i've decided to leave the vanilla animated stuff alone for now (fire, water, lava, portal). These are important textures, but they won't be quick. In the time i could finish one of these, i could do a lot of items, particles, mobs, or GUI elements. With so much unfinished, i'm going for for what can more expeditiously be completed.
This is a big Milestone, all blocks are now included (if you don't count water & lava). New chests— all of them— are a big addition, and I've enhanced the atmosphere with new sun and cloud graphics. You may also notice that a few of the particles are now in HD. All in all 52 new or revised textures have been added to Lithos. See the changelog for full details.

That's one of my favorite textures, not so much for itself, but how it captures the tricky vanilla identity and looks good.
I appreciate the praise, but no i don't think Lithos is that good.

Thanks guys!

My intention is to eventually remake all minecraft's graphics.
Preview of the soonish upcoming release: I like how this turned out.
