Sure, the default Minecraft texture pack is great but, do you want your Minecraft worlds to look a little, simpler? Well look no further! This texture pack is basically a remake of the original textures, except the textures are smooth and don't have as many colors, look as pixelated, and, smooth! The pack is not fully ready for 1.5 as I still need to cut up the terrain.png and items.png files and give each texture its own png. Check back here often for updates. I will try to work on this as much as I can. Please read the read me text included. Please leave feedback on the texture pack, not this post.
* Changed mineral block textures from one color to a smooth version of the original textures
* Added textures for wood planks
* Added textures for crafting table
* Changed nether quartz texture to a smooth verison of the original
* Added textures for logs
* Downloaded zip no longer contains the folder containing the pack
If you don't have all of your items and blocks as separate .png's then your pack wont work at all.
Right?
Yes I am aware that the spoiler failed and I don't exactly know how to fix that, I know that pictures are required and I am working on it with the limited time I have. The pack will work if not ALL of the block/item textures have there own png files as I've tested the pack. When I said leave feedback, I meant things that are good, bad, or are not working in the pack. If you are going to say this kind of stuff, the least you could do is help me by telling me how to get the spoiler to work.

The issue with your spoiler is that the url encryption is within the boundaries of the spoiler tags. Currently, you have this.
Onto the texture pack itself, the pack wouldn't currently work if you put it directly into your Minecraft.jar. The issue isn't with the textures folder, but the fact that the pack is in a folder within a .zip archive. You zipped the pack's folder, when you need to zip the contents of the pack, essentially the contents of the folder you have in it now. Regarding the textures, you have added some texture and shading to your textures, which is what most simple pack developers fail to do. I think you could improve by adding some texture to all spaces, because the textures, like stone brick (for example) seems flat because it doesn't have texture detail or shading to bring it out. Getting in the habit of making purely simple textures is a bad habit in and of itself, so when you are ready, and have your workspace prepared, is the time you should experiment with different styles of shading and detail, because all texture artists have unique skills beyond bucket fill packs, which are vastly overdone.
I went to give feedback but all as been cover here. the only thing else to add is that
ohsnap207 your
attitude
sucks
Thank you. If you tried to offend me, you have failed. I don't exactly have all the time in the world to do this stuff so things aren't gonna work and things that are obvious to me such as the spoiler not working do not need to be mentioned. Your post is just cluttering up this thread. When I said feedback, I meant on the texture pack, not the thread.

Thanks! I think I'm going to redo the entire pack soon and add more details instead of having boring flat looking ones. I might make them look like they are "popping" out, sort of a 3-D effect if you could call it that. The stone slab already has it somewhat and so does the trap door so I am going to try to do the same for the rest of the textures.
Sure, the default Minecraft texture pack is great but, do you want your Minecraft worlds to look a little, simpler?
No. No. No. We do NOT want out worlds to look a little simpler. We want our worlds to look a little BETTER. Allow me to give you a little peice of advice which started out as a tiny annoynace and has over the years, through the continuous feeding of the texturepack community, grown into a blazing sunlike fireball of frustration in my soul. We do not want, nor do we need, yet ANOTHER SIMPLE PACK. They all look flat, lifeless, devoid of personality, lazy, and more importnantly, exactly the same as the last.
Now why would I be giving you advice on this? I haven't uploaded even a few textures in years! Here's why: Because I'm practicing and improving and working to make a detailed texture pack which people will like because it will look nice and different. Simple packs do not become famous. They just don't. They're not fun to make and they don't become cult hits or even bring pleasure to a small group of downloaders. They're just not GOOD! So please, don't waste any effort on an 8-bit reskin of the default textures. Nobody is going to want it, I can promise you that.

I've been here for a loooooooooong time.

When, to have it function properly, you need this.
Or, you could conserve space and make the text above the download itself, by putting the '1.5 download' within the url tags.

Bucketfills do not attract much good support. I suggest you read some pixel art tutorials and then learn to shade, make good dirt and hue shift.
