Hello, I really like your texture pack and I was wondering if I could use your horse textures for a horse server I am hopefully making for 1.8. I would give you credits on the website, at spawn and at my barn. I would not change one singly pixel on your horses. Thanks!
I haven't created it yet but I'm wanting the name to be 'Equestrian Oak'. I am only creating the website and building the spawn etc. I will tell you when the server is up. But thanks so much!
New update, I improved and updated some blocks (bone blocks, prismarin bricks, red nether bricks, mob spawners), some items and some mobs, I added a texture for the skeleton horse, rain and fallin snow do now have a new texture, and the most important feature, all paintings got new different textures for all four packs.
The random textures for leaf patterns on grass blocks in the autumn pack (which made the leaves look more natural with different patterns on the block) do now also work in vanilla Minecraft without Optifine/Mcpatcher ! (Although I still recommend to use them for autumn, winter and christmas pack because spruce trees, birch trees and swamps will have messed up colors without them)
Here are some screenshots of the new paitings and the other changes:
I added all the textures of the 1.11 update (llamas, shulker chests, vindicators, evokers, vex, observer blocks, totems, iron nuggets) and also textures of the new glazed terracotta, cement and concrete blocks from the newest Minecraft snapshot.
Like in the default pack, I made the glazed terracotta textures as a corner of a 2x2 block circle that can be created by placing them in different directions.
I also changed some other textures in the pack like creepers, magma slimes etc, and made a lot of color changes to some blocks including wood and bricks, and changed the biome colors of grass and leaves.
I made both of them a little less saturated with color as I noticed that they look too colorful on some computer screens, so I gave them a better color and made the biome color closer to the default colors.
The Zedercraft texture pack is now available for Minecraft Windows 10 edition !
I recently got a new computer with Windows 10, so I were able to make a version of my texturepack that is compatible for the faster, non-java-based Minecraft Windows 10 edition. You can find the download link for all the packs, including the windows 10 packs in the start post, like usual.
How to install the ressource pack on Minecraft Windows 10 edition:
Open the ZIP folder and move the folder in it (NOT the ZIP folder
itself! The normal folder that is in it) in the following location:
C:\Users\Name of User\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP
_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\resource_packs
In the game under the ressource pack menu, it should be available now.
I updated the ressource pack to 1.12 version by adding all the new textures, including colored beds, the new GUIs and parrots, I made textures for all 5 parrot colors including a BUDGIE texture!
I also corrected some texture errors and improved some environment textures: Rain now has fewer drops, snow, clouds and water drop particles have new textures, and sun and moon are more realistic now.
I also updated the Windows 10 Edition Version of the texture pack to the newest update of Minecraft Windows 10 edition, the 1.1.5 update and fixed a bug that caused the game to crash in the newer versions:
-added all new update textures, colored beds, concrete, glazed terracotta, magma block, vindicator, vex, evoker, polar bear etc.
-fixed a bug related to colored beds that caused the game to crash in the newer versions
-added all individual spawn eggs, tinted arrows and potion textures and the ender dragon texture
-fixed some smaller texture bugs
I updated the Windows 10 edition/ bedrock edition of my texturepack to version 1.2.10 of Windows 10 edition and fixed some problems:
-fixed Purpur slabs having a wrong texture, they now show their correct texture
-armor stands, banners, shulkers and parrot spawn eggs now have their correct textures
I made a big new update for the Zedercraft packs with many changes:
-made all the 128x128 textures smoother
-tidied up the texture pack files, removed some unused and outdated files to keep the texture pack compact
-changed the colors of stained clay/terracotta to make them look more like the defalt texture colors, so you can easier use them in a way they wwould be used with default textures
-changed the clay texture from brown to gray, for the same reason as the stained clay
-made a new texture for the ghast
-changed the colors of andesite and diorite to better match their colors of the default textures
-a new texture for carved sandstone
-grass, mycelium and podsol now cover the full side of their block to make it look more smooth and natural in landscapes without seeing dirt egdes in lanndscapes
-made a new individual texture for prismarin blocks and shards
-a new texture for birch leaves
-a new font texture that uses the font "Tw Cen MT", also fixed the gaps between letters
-changed the autumn textures a little to make the leaves on grass blocks look more natural
-new sun texture
Hi, to remove the player textures, you need to open the Zedercraft folder in the resource pack folder, then you open "textures" > "entity" and delete the files "alex.png" and "steve.png".
I updated the Zedercraft texturepack to 1.13! I added new textures for all new Update Aquatic features, updated the texture pack to the new format and also changed some of the old textures.
Because of the format change between 1.12 and 1.13, I also left download links to the old 1.12 versions of the texture pack for people who play on 1.12 or below.
Here are some pictures of the new Update Aquatic textures I added:
Today I also updated the Windows 10 Edition version of the texturepack. It does now work on the newest version of Windows 10 Edition (1.6.1) and has all new Update Aquatic textures in it.:
With the forums shutting down, is there anywhere else we can go to keep up with your work?
My texturepack is also available on PlanetMinecraft and on my own homepage for download. I actually hear for the first time that the forum is shutting down, already the second one after the German minecraft.de forum has shut down.
But I will continue with my texturepack, I will update it on PlanetMinecraft and my homepage and might search for other forums I can upload it to.
I am still updating it, I hope I can finish all 1.14 textures within the next weeks (1.14 really has a lot of textures).
Here are the links to the Planetminecraft page and my homepage page of my texturepack:
With the Forum getting archived and becoming read-only tomorrow, I wanted to thank all people who downloaded and commented my texturepack and supported me. This means a lot to me and creating the Zedercraft is a lot of fun for me.
I will continue updating and improving the Zedercraft texturepack, and you will be able to download the newest versions of it on PlanetMinecraft and on my own design homepage (FelixBDesign).
As I can't update the download links on this forum in the future anymore, they will stay with the current version (Minecraft 1.13), unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the 1.14 textures before the forum getting archived.
I will probably update my texturepack to 1.14 in the next week and add the new 1.14 downloads in PlanetMinecraft and FelixBDesign.
Here are the links where I will continue updating the Zedercraft texturepack:
Edit: As it was announced now that the forum will be continued and not get closed, I can keep updating the texturepack here in the forum and keep this thread active, so you can download the texturepack either here on the MinecraftForum post or on PlanetMinecraft or my Homepage.
For those who wonder why and how the name "Zedercraft" for my texturepack came to be, here is an explanation:
As some people may know, "Zeder" is the German word for "Cedar", the tree species. It has nothing to do with Zelda.
I named my Texturepack (which exists in the modern form since 2014, but I created the first predecessor in 2012. I obviously named my texturepack after my Minecraft username, which is and was Zeder95 (the 95 refers to my birth year, 1995).
I bought Minecraft and created my Minecraft account in February 2012, and when I had to pick a username for Minecraft I chose "Zeder" and added the 95.
The reason for this was that a few years earlier, I was very interested in gardening and plants (I am still today), and back then (I think around 2009) I registered in a forum about gardening and plants and there I chose the username "Zeder" for the first time.
The reason I named myself after the tree species Cedar was because this was one of my favourite tree species, and also because I bought a little cedar tree in a garden center and planted in my parents garden. This cedar tree is well alive today and has grown very big, and is one of my favourite trees in my parents garden.
So to sum it up:
-Zedercraft was named after my Minecraft username
-My minecraft username came from a username in a forum about plants and gardening
-I chose that username because I like cedar trees and planted one in my parents garden.
I finally finished creating textures for all new 1.14, 1.15 and 1.16 features. It were the 1.14 textures that took me very long, as it had a lot of textures and I was busy in real life, and just when I was almost done, 1.16 came out, which contained a lot of new textures again. 1.16 has some great new features which I had fun creating textures for and imagining how these things would look like with a realistic style.
