That resource pack is also on the Minecraft Forums, and I have seen it before. It did not occur to me before, but there are textures that are similar. I could ask Grog, the creator, if Summerfields inspired him if you would like.
Hey I really like this texture pack and I used it for a long time. My problem with this texture pack is the lack of resolution. I mean just take the vanilla texture pack as an example of what you can do by raising the resolution to 128 or 256. It will look crispier and more detailed, even though the vanilla textures contain not much detail. I would like to ask if there were or are any plans of doing a texture pack with a much higher resolution. Just imagine how much detail you could add to the already existing textures, but still with the same stile of artwork.

I don't believe that there have ever been talks of alternate resolutions for Summerfields.
I've always found its 32x textures fitting, and anything more or less might lose its original, low polygon-like appearance. As much as adding more details is a good thing, I never found Summerfields to ever go in that direction. It might be more fitting for a project outside of Minecraft, actually.
Oh, and I want to get this out: I know I said that I was going to put my custom textures in the Summerfields Github a while back. My friend that I mentioned who would hopefully help me is currently finishing up his time in university, and I do not want to bother him right now. I'm not promising anything, but maybe in May I can set it up finally. For now, I guess I can show you all what I had worked on so far:
Yeah, SummerFields is...well, it's 32x. Never anything more nor less. In the past people have asked for it to be either scaled up or down and Lithium never wanted to do that. It's not as easy as just 'blowing it up' or 'shrinking it'. :\ I believe he chose the resolution for the purpose that it would remain pixellated but with slightly more detail than 16x allows for.
It includes a palette of colors and some explanations on why the colors are the way they are. :3 Kinda hard to believe that pink is the new orange. XD
I've been gone for a long time and I apologize. My old Wacom tablet finally died and I had to save up for a new one. But I have it now, so I'm going to try and get some more mod support done.
I really like those new textures for the other stones and the pavers. And the alterations to the diorite/andesite/granite break up the monotony.
I said over on github my thoughts on the new inventory screen. I'm wondering if they'll change it around between now and when they release things. :\
And when I looked at the rabbits, it looked like someone had done the textures for them...or have I gone mad?
Either way, I might have a few ideas to improve the appearance in-game. (I hate their noses. >:| Are they related to the villagers with their enormous noses?)
Nah, the textures are good. It's just me and my apparent hatred of noses in Minecraft. XD I'm gonna try to do an alternative texture and see what people think about it.
The download seems to be working for me in Firefox...it doesn't re-direct me, just has the cake loader and then pops up asking me if I want to save. It takes a little while so I don't know if that's an issue for you.
The download link also seems to work fine for me. Odd.
Oh, and hello CuddleWoozle! I thought you had disappeared for good. It's nice that the person behind the first post is back too. Speaking of which, could you edit the Summerfields link to the shorter "http://summerfields.info/" link lipki created?

Just a small mistake that I have to point out here, but I think you forgot to put the particle textures on your spruce leaves model because this happens when you break them.
Wow! It's like this pack is getting a much needed make over. The pavers look fantastic as do the stone types. Really very beautiful. Thanks lipki keep up the great work and as always thanks CuddleWoozey for an amazing pack to start with.
I think I've come to understand Github a bit more, but I made my own repository for my Summerfields textures instead. (https://github.com/ImLeeRii/SummerFields-ImLeeRii) It will include the textures and models that I have posted here as well. I have only provided my edits, sort of like an add-on to the original Summerfields.
I just had a play through using the 1.8 textures. What happened to the familiar stone textures? The new ones do not look good at all and do not look like summerfields. Although I appreciate the effort going into maintaining this texture pack the new textures are going away from the summerfields style IMO.

I'm unsure what you mean. We have only provided missing or alternate textures in this community continuation of Summerfields. Any original textures by lithiumsound/the creator himself have been left alone, like the stone texture for example. Unless you are perhaps referring to the granite, andesite and diorite stones?
Oh, maybe you're referring to lithiumsound's very first stone textures? He changed quite a lot from that very much earlier version a while ago.

I'm just used to seeing this as the texture and when I saw the new one it was like whoa, what happened. I wasn't trying to imply that the mantainers weren't doing a good job it's just i don't think the new textures fit well. That's just my opinion and I can always swap them out for the old ones if needed.

Hey guys, I made an alternate fall foliage.png colormap for summerfields, you can see the thread here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/339vmw/my_custom_fall_foliage_colormap_for_my_mega_forest/

Awesome, lipki.

I just wanted to leave a note here that I threw together a couple of things for people looking to make textures for SummerFields.

Strangely, I cannot seem to download the pack for the website. Might just be me.
When I click on the download button, it shows the little loading thing with the cake, and then it just redirects to a blank page.

Tried it on a different browser, and although the titles and descriptions ended up a little messed up, the packs themselves work fine. Weird.
The download link also seems to work fine for me. Odd.

Nice job!
Always loved how this pack was nice, bright, and happy!
*Applauds*
I had no idea we had a shorter link. Will do! :3

Good job again, lipki! It looks very cool.
