I haven't been posting the updates here because I don't want to have to give myself a warning for spamming, but I've been working on adding Christmas lights to some of the leaf blocks. Here are a couple of screenshots for you all.
These are done with Optifine's new Emissive Textures feature, which sadly is far from perfect. The "all-or-nothing" transparency is particularly obnoxious. That's why the lights seem large and squared off. There's simply no way to have them look like they're emitting light around themselves without doing that... unless I just illuminate the entire block. Maybe I should be doing that instead? I dunno. Regardless, the colored lights on the spruce leaves are ready and waiting in the Christmas Add-On for you to download. I should have the while lights on the Birch Leaves up within the next day or so, time permitting.
This will probably be the last update for 2017, so I hope you all enjoy it. Let me know what you think, and whether or not I should consider adding the the Christmas Add-On pack after Christmas has officially transpired. I'll be interested to hear what you all have to say.
So I'll end this update by wishing you and yours a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year. I'll see you all when I add more, even if that's in 2018.
Glad you're so enthusiastic about working on this again! It really brings joy out to me! All the downer talk last Christmas was kind of heart breaking
You've done some fantastic work! I really love your GUIs. It's something I strive for in my pack but haven't really found a way to nail it down exactly. The amount of detail in this is also a real large inspiration and I would really love to have that same level if I ever return back to my old pack, Libertas. (I still love how fluffy your grass looks)
Have you ever thought of making a new pack? With the amount of content there is, I can understand how disheartening it can be. I would love to remake Libertas in a higher resolution and a better paint program (since I didn't have a drawing tablet back then) but the thought of starting from scratch with hundreds and hundreds of files to remake sounds exhausting. Finishing Morning Star seems so far off and I'm not sure if I'll ever make it there
(And by the way, you can just use the "Quote" button to indicate which post you're replying to. That works a lot better and also notifies me when you've posted. )

Love your work as always! Cheers
I kinda lost a lot of enthusiasm for this already. 2018 has taken its toll on me. I haven't given up, but I'm still working out changes in my real life that started late last year so it might be a while before I get back to work on this again. That's why there hasn't been any updates throughout all of January this year.
Have I ever thought of making another pack? HA! That's funny. Let me give you a rundown of all that I've got going for resource packs:
● Sanity - Updating whenever I feel like working on it in addition to when Minecraft updates
● Mint Flavor - Updating whenever Minecraft Updates
● Color Blind Shaders - Discontinued due to Mojang removing the feature it required from the game. Would love to bring it back.
● Regalia - Mostly complete (about 80%), but needs finished. Started as a group project and I haven't felt like working on it alone.
● Fall of Autumn - Blocks completed up to 1.10... but little else is finished. Only feel like working on this during autumn for obvious reasons.
● After Midnight - About 25% of the blocks finished and nothing else. I rarely feel like working on this as I have other packs I'd rather work on.
● Brightling (working title) - about 2% finished with blocks... and I honestly kinda hate this pack as it's too much like After Midnight but not as cool.
● Temperature - This was a stupid idea and I'll never work on it ever again and refuse to discuss the matter further.
So yea... I may have considered it once or twice.
Thanks for the feedback, and sorry it takes so long to reply. Again, I get so wrapped up in moderator duties I forget to reply to stuff due to reports needing my attention.
Alas, the curtains draw closed on the Minecraft Forums, which were a substantial part of my, looking back at it, incredibly bratty formative years. Before they close, I'd like say one last time that, especially back when I was active in Minecraft, you've been a big inspiration to me, and Sanity will always have a special place to me as a resource pack whose journey I gladly took part in. While it's unfortunate to see you lost the spark for this pack, I can't say I can really blame you, especially considering my own absence from the forums since December 2016, and spotty presence up til then.
It's crazy to think of all the things that I used to take so much joy in, spend so much time doing, and that it's all just a distant memory by now. Maybe one day I'll actually manage to finish a resource pack of my own instead of just doing a few things here and there, but even if I don't, I'll always think fondly of my time working on textures, and my time collaborating on ideas for this phenomenal resource pack.
I wish you well on everything you pursue now and in the future, Alvoria! I'm not sure we'll ever meet again in the vastness of the internet, so truly, farewell, and I cannot thank you enough for the memories. I cannot overstate how much fun I had across those precious years.

Beautiful pack! I'll be sure to download it!
