Wow. All the new things you have added are still great as ever! How in the WORLD could I possibly forget about this amazing pack? I do like how the trapped chest has the tripwire hook on the side. Small touches, but you make it far better instead of making it look like you're trying to make it everything at once. Haven't lost your touch, man...haven't lost your touch....
Also, I've been considering posting a preview topic for a pack that's been in the works for a while, but I'm not really sure how to do it, so any suggestions would be helpful!
Or you could post in this thread and give it a good bump to keep it in the public eye a moment longer, helping it endure the perpetual influx of simple packs, default edits, and threads that should be in a different section; all of which do little but bury packs like mine that are well-made but lack the fanbase necessary to keep them afloat on the polluted sea of the Texture Pack forum.

Thank you! This is high praise from someone who've followed this pack since its first public showing. I've appreciated your praise and feedback until now, and I hope to continue to do so in the future.

Post lots of pictures and talk about why you've made the decisions you made. If you remember my original preview thread, I had a small caption below my preview pics that explained my choices... or sometimes just cracked jokes. Make your thread entertaining, but make sure to show off the textures too. Make sure to have the artwork full-screen and not zoomed way out. Take pictures of builds, landscapes, and other interesting things instead of just flatland walls of blocks like too many people do.
Ultimately how you choose to show off your work is your choice and should reflect your style.
Just make sure to let me know when you post it. I'd love to see your work, and comment on it. A nice role-reversal, wouldn't you say?
My apologies, but I'm not going to put it as the main one in the OP like I usually do with new reviews/spotlights/showcases/etc. This was just so... bland and, well, kinda boring. I left a comment on Youtube for you about it.
If for some reason you want to mulligan and try it again, just let me know.
yeah okay I know what you mean my own pack is simplistic though I believe it can become something good and unique from the simple packs with more feedback and attention (and more time and work on my part), but it drowns in all the thread pollution you mentioned,
Yea, I phrased that poorly. I meant bucket fill, or no-effort simple packs. Your is actually becoming pretty respectable.
packs like yours definitely need the attention, Sanity shows just how much you can do with the 16x16 resolution while denying use of bucket fill keep up the great work.
I'm happy to hear you say that. I've tried my best at this pack, and in my opinion it's one of the better 16x packs currently available. I'm glad that at least a few people agree with me.
people will troll and upvote a 1x1 pack and everybody will fake love it, if I make it I will call it the new step in simplicity packs and it would be a joke complaining about most terrible simple packs.
As far as bucket fill goes I think simple craft and ocd are as good as they get, every over one is just the same as them.there are packs in low resolutions that do embrace simplicity but do not rely on bucket filling everything, I am trying to achieve that with my own pack. I have already seen a 1x1 pack and i do not think they work for minecraft, 8x8 is the minimum resolution to create something good and unique but thats just my opinion so don't take it heavily. but if you do make a 1x1 pack I would be interested to see it.
I wish you the best of luck in creating a respectable simple pack. From what I've seen, you're already on your way.
I saw a couple of 4x4 packs a while back, and one of them was pretty good. Still, I think even 8x8 is on the losing side of the challenging v. restrictive balance for art. I personally wouldn't go lower than 16x, but that's me.
Lastly, lets get back on topic of "Sanity" by Alvoria.
Alvoria, as you know I enjoy using this pack and I would like to see connected textures as a future addition mostly because I prefer seeing connected glass.
I'll look into it.
The trick will be making it connected without changing the feel of it too much. I've got it about as clear as I want it. Hmmm... Maybe if I do the corners in classic CTM and then the edge sheen with a random layer. Hmmm...

No, Miopic, just no. 1x1 packs have been done before, and nobody with half a brain liked them. Not even trolls dignified their existence by defending them. Just drop it man. The horse is dead. Get off.
yeah try to experiment with CTM and see if you can get it to tile and maintain the feel
I'm definitely going to try using CTM at some point, though possibly not for glass. We'll see if this new glass texture grows on me or not. Feedback is, as always, greatly appreciated.
this looks okay but it doesn't feel right, I don't know, I think its just missing too much of the style like it once was so it doesn't seem to fit. Maybe i just have to get a feel for it in game.
I think you should try some more alternate variants of glass and decide on one that fits best
Maybe try making the glass look like it has light shining on it, and so only have a couple sides have texturing?
I get it. People don't like that glass. I like it... but not enough to keep it.
How about this:
It's a little harder to see through than the original glass was because there's more going on. On the other hand, it's still really easy to see through and it's not difficult to track edges or corners, which was my primary concern.
The glass looks great it tiles well and the corners and edges are still defined I think it works well.
wow a whole day for the light map! I really need to put more effort into my pack, you show that effort pays off.
Says the guy who's so quickly catching up to me in downloads.
(on a side note I have noticed an extra white pixel next to one of the candles on the creeper head painting its nothing major it just throws out the symmetry also it kind of bugs me)
Good catch!
I've found and corrected it so it'll be fixed in the next version. Thanks for catching that!
(to kind of brag) the view to download ratio is just under half and it gets a few under 100 downloads a day Australian Central Standard time so my downloads will probably catch you quickly hahaha
It's pretty easy to get a thread marked as hot. Most threads that get activity for more than a week or two get "Hot" status. Getting a thread marked as "Popular" takes a bit of doing, so I'll celebrate when/if that happens.
If I ever get this I must replace that myself.

But, you know, whatever works for you.
And I appreciate you expressing it!
I'm going to assume head injury.

Sorry if I inadvertently offended you.

It's been done Miopic. It's been done, and I doubt it can be done any better.
I'm glad. And thank you.

Actually, this post got me thinking about how I could do them differently. How does this look to you?
It looks like cut glass or crystal with a decorative pattern, don't you think?
Also, take a look at the new lightmap I've put in. Makes the sunset a little more colorful, no?

Thank you! It took me a whole day to get that thing just perfect.
Good catch!
I've found and corrected it so it'll be fixed in the next version. Thanks for catching that!
Oh don't worry... I will.
Glad you like the glass. And yea, I'm pretty sharp on catching stuff like that. Don't underestimate me.
I spike in the 40 - 50 range.
I totally agree. Too bad more people don't.
I'll keep on keeping on, though. Don't count me out yet!
