As you have seen I have taken on the Woocraft legacy, I hope I can live up to the high standards Wooraah set.
I feel great responsibility to this texture pack, and as such I will seek advice from users. ATM Woocraft does not use Connected Textures Mod, over the last few months I have become a bit of a CTM expert (wait until you seen my Soulscraft TP). I can think of so many things that would just be perfect with CTM: windows, Tatami mats, ... .
This is not an easy decision as Woocraft is already 30M and will grow some as I make the mobs really x128 (generally x64 ATM) and add all the menus. I expect the fully realised Woocraft will be 40-45M without CTM.
If I add seamless windows, the first I would do; seamless bookcases; tatami mats that have auspicious patterns, and just so much more. The size could grow very large. It will take a long time to download and load. FPS will depend on your computer but if you can handle x128 then the CTM will have negligible impact. this becomes a sheer file size issue. How big is still OK?
Should Woocraft have CTM? I really want your opinions.
I want to use this texture pack, but I'm only playing version 1.4.5 of Minecraft at the moment. (I'm playing an older version because I must; I have my reasons.) Will the current release of this pack (i.e. the file downloadable from page 1 post 1) work with my game version? If not, where can get the file that file that will work with 1.4.5?

I looked in the older thread (http://www.minecraft...d-woocraft-v11/), but the only "older" version of the texture pack that it seems to offer is for MC 1.6, which is still WAY newer than what I'm playing.
The short answer is, yes. The current version Woocraft_1.4.7_v4 will support MC 1.4.5 no problems. I expected it would but to be certain I started the Curse Client, used their way back machine, and specifically tested it for you.
The long answer is yes, but. Remember you need to have applied MCpatcher or Optifine to get proper HD support. Otherwise you get burning blocks and the usual display problems.
I hope you enjoy the texture pack. Please let me know if there is anything that you do not like, I endeavour to make the texture pack the best it can be.

I don't use MCPatcher or Optfine, because one of them is incompatible with the mods I use (or something like that), and the other ruins signs (that glitch that makes most signs I've placed, even prior to installing it, go blank). But I have a couple HD texture packs installed which I sometimes use, and I've never noticed ANY problems. No inappropriately burning blocks, and no other glitches besides ones that happen the same even with no texture packs used at all.
I don't know what the problems are that people keep warning about in regards to using HD texture packs with using MCP or Optfine, but I seem to be the one lucky person who's never experienced them *shrugs*

Good Morning PixelPaladin,
I started the Curse Client with an original 1.4.5. and took this screen shot.
Minecraft 1.4.5 does not naturally support textures above 16 bit properly. It just happens that most things work. As you can see stone has portal and fire in the corner. For everything to work absolutely perfectly a mod is needed. Most people use MCP or Optifine to install this HD textures mod. Other mods include the code too. If your stone does not look like this then one of the mods you are using include HD textures support.
Which is fantastic!!
Have fun.

The 1.5 update is now available. If you need an older version (1.4.7 for instance), I have added download links in the Change Log for several of the older versions.
I like how the quartz blocks have turned out and as soon as I can get CTM working with 1.5, I have big plans.
Enjoy

Fascinating! Apparently one of the following mods/addons/utilities has HD texture support, and can be used by players as an alternative to MCPatcher or Optfine for using HD texturepacks:
The latest release of Woocraft, 1.5.2 v1, is a bit of a test release. I need to ask you, the people who love Woocraft, which direction the texture pack should go in. I have replaced the stone and stone brick textures with a more realistic stone, the previous was cartoony. Realism is the direction I instinctually want to take Woocraft but if you, the people who love Woocraft, do not want this, I will not go that way. Please tell me what you think.
Yes before you comment the ores are not very realistic. I know, these are hybrid until the stone texture settles. The new ores will be a great deal of work.

I am off on a 3 week motorcycle tour of the east coast of Australia from Sydney to Brisbane. It is winter here but winter in Australia still means warm weather compared to Canada Updates will continue after the trip.
Have fun Minecrafting guys!

I LOVE how the torches are lanterns! but do you think you would ever possibly make the redstone torches red lanterns? if not its cool, the pack is very pretty!
This release is experimental. I have updated the cobblestone but I am uncertain. I instinctively want to integrate the colour with stone but I wanted to try the white. Please let me know what you think.

**EDIT** I always prefer CTM, on all texture packs, so it'd be nice to have on this one =]

Thank you, mate. This means a great deal to me. Let me know if you want to resume Woocraft.
As an aside, I have been exploring Tatsuyama, what a beautiful map.
Thanks again
