Has he really stopped making the texture pack? I'm aware that he hasn't been on in months, but I never knew that he resigned.
Just to let everyone know, I've merged the community updates for the vanilla JS pack with JSTR, so there should no longer be any missing textures for vanilla items/blocks/mobs.
Mystcraft has also recieved an update, although the crystal texture still needs a bit of work.
As of current (11pm Dec 29) downloading the truly wonderful textures zip results in a corrupted file the generates an error: no such directory
That happens from time to time, I think its when they change something in the pack as it then needs to upload the new files. So just try again in a few minutes and everything should work fine
I don't know where I'm supposed to ask so I'll ask here; would you please consider adding "simple ores" mod to the pack? The simple ores adds just five ores to the game -- and nothing else.
The default archive utility for mac doesn't like the file, but izip worked and I got the textures. Marvelous work!
May I suggest a few things? The IC2 machines look to similar for my taste. John_lemon textures look nicer for the machines.
My friend would "hate" me if i didn't ask for a redpower2 update. His house is made of chiseled basalt (currently pink). new lamps are pink too.
creative inventory is missing part of the scrollbar and boxes on the gui.
do you happen to have mo' creatures textures?

1. Sorry, but I dislike his machines. They're good textures, I just don't think they fit within the johnsmith theme. If you want, you can go ahead and transfer the textures into your version of the texture pack.
2 and 3. Are you sure you're using version 1.4.2? They should be fixed.

After workin to install this for over 24 hours the only thing that has resulted is a lot of currupted files, over 5 computer crashes and only partially successful texture packs. I am extremely angry at all the time I wasted.
I just want a download link that will have all the latest textures for railcraft redpower2 industrialcraft2 and extrabiomesxl. It isn't on this forum, I tried several times. So where is it? Are the links all correct?

Dude, the link is in the OP. I downloaded it last night and it works fine. You should delete all old JS files and download this zip again. The only problem I have is Portal Gun and The Tome of Knowledge from TC3 I don't have any problems with textures whatsoever.

Are you on the wrong thread? Go to the very first post, where it says in big blue text that is underlined, "JSTR for Minecraft 1.4.2/1.4.5/1.4.6" Click that, and then you will be downloading the texture pack.
After clicking STR for minecraft 1.4.2/1.4.5/1.4.6 from dropbox It completely downloaded to my computer. (not the J as it is a seperate link)
I extracted it with my archive utility.
Inside there are NO FOLDERS by the name of Eloraam, or any that contain files of the kind

You can always swap out the terrain.png to something that suits your taste, but if you change the stone texture the ores will look out of place.
