You should make a newer thread just containing all of the updates, sorta like a change log, and then include all of the download links and dates so people know when they're updated. Just saying

Not sure I would want to fracture the thread like that. And then if people came across the change log type thread with no or little context, I imagine that would cause confusion/internet rageness. Why do you suggest this? Do you think it would be a good idea to have all the previous versions available to download? I could restructure this thread if need be.
Wow, looking great, could you please work on the way that handheld items would look such as tools, fishing rods, and foods? Several resource packs have beautiful textures for the blocks, but have no effort into the items. If you could post some pictures or start working on those types of textures, i would really appreciate it.

I wasn't planing on touching them for quite some time yet. I was going to do all the blocks first before moving onto items, then UI and then mobs. But thinking on it now it would be good to get some of the common items done to at this point. Tools at the very least. I'll give it a shot. Not this week though, next week or more likely the week after.
I actually had a play today making a couple of pickaxe item textures just to see how that'll go and I quite like it. It's a nice change from doing blocks. Feels easier and faster todo as well.
I think mobs are to prioritize before tools, because playing around in your world and seeing weird cyan and blue pixelated zombies on your nice looking 32x pack isn't really cool. That's just my opinion btw but it always bothered me that mobs are always made last while they can completely ruin the feeling in most packs.
Also, praise the amazing new cobblestone tiling !
Ok well since people are interested in these non-block textures so soon into the packs development, I'll try to work on them simultaneously. Having just played around with those pickaxes I think I'm going to enjoy working on not just blocks each week.

Wow good job with the pickaxes! They look really nice and fit in well with the pack! Thanks for doing this so soon
Don't worry man, I'm just saying that I'd rather prefer some works on mobs instead of tools, I never meant to rush you
Btw, here's a support banner:
Hah! Thanks so much for doing this. This'll be really useful! I'll add it to the main post when I upload the next update. Kinda wanna rejig the post a bit so I'll do it all at once.
One thing: your grass-side is, like in default, mostly dirt. I prefer green hills instead of brown ones. I think a more green (but not completely green) grass side will suit your pack's style.
I'm actually of the same opinion. Used to play with that better grass mode that gave this effect back in the day. I think it was part of McPatcher. But yea, I'll play around with the texture at some point and see if it's worth doing. I think it's a good idea.
And thanks guys, I love hearing feedback.
EDIT: Also because I enjoy posting these little teasers... ....
I'm really digging this. Great job! I've been looking for something to add to my list of packs to use when I'm in a Soartex kinda mood. Looking forward to whats to come.
Sorry for the delay on this one. I was trying to get last weeks pack done in conjunction with some visual stuff I've been working on for the thread. However I didn't find the time I needed over the last few days to get that done so the update is a day late this week and the visual goodies to make the thread prettier are gonna have to be done this week instead.
However about the update itself. Super important one this week. Redid cobble and stonebrick which look oh-so-much better now. They now have a warm yellow tone to them along with the slabs and smooth stone. This visually makes them click into place amongst the other textures and makes the whole pack much more cohesive. These ones in my mind are really important textures to nail considering how commonly used they are and I believe nailed they are. So I'm very happy.
Also added mossy and cracked variants, improved stone slabs and added iron bars. Oh and grass is a bit lighter now, I'm a little worried that that may have been a bad decision. We'll see.
One thing I suggest you to do, I think in /assests/textures/entity you only have chests, and when I check other textures, they are complete with more than just chests, and the only reason I point this out, is because I want to change my skin and it only shows chests, and I don't know whether or not I can just add steve.png without one with steve.png already there so yeah, what I am trying to say I there isn't "steve.png" there and i dont know if I could add a steve.png.
I was wondering what font you used for the main picture in your thread, the "hand writing on board" styled one, because I'm planning on making a better support banner matching your thread presentation !
EDIT: Nevermind I found it: Architect's Daughter
EDIT:
Ahaha so cool. Yea you got. I'll add it to the main post.

You should be able to add a steve.png in there just fine. The reason so many textures aren't in the pack is because when a texture is missing from a pack the game will simply load in the default texture automatically. I haven't yet done many of the textures so I leave them out of the texture pack for the game to load in the default ones by itself. So as soon as you add a texture in with the correct file name and in the correct folder location, the game will use that new texture instead of the default.
Also for those who may be concerned about the brightness of the grass this week, I'm pulling it back to a slightly less saturated and slightly darker tone for next week. I'm aiming for a middle ground between Summerfield's grass colour and Sphax's grass colour.
A few more tools, tallgrass (finally) and a new wooden door texture. Grass is getting a little rejig as well to allow for better control over the biome colours. One of the perks of finally doing this is that it allows for cooler coloured grass up high in the varying biomes. I also discovered that you can create variances in the grass texture which I'm taking advantage of although subtly. Gif below shows this as a before and after....
Still following this, and it's becoming more and more excellent with time, tho I prefer the old oak door. The new tools are really nice by the way, you're very talented at making shadows and making details stand out in textures !
Oh really. Okay, well I can use this as one of the different wooden doors then. Maybe spruce and go back to the old oak one. I'm still gonna improve upon it though but keep it similar to the old one. Thanks for the feedback.
Mind if I use some of these in the main post?
Alrighty. It's the end of the week update time. Forth week update is now uploaded.
