I can not install this!
I tried clicking PATCH on the MCPATCHER and then dragging the FAERIELIGHT texturepack in to the TEXTUREPACKS folder!
But it wont show in-game!
HELP!
I see a missing step and would like to confirm you physically selected the pack from the Texture Pack selection screen in the main menu on the start screen.
Steps:
1, Launch Minecraft.
2, Click Login.
3, Once the main menu loads, Click Texture Packs.
4, Select the Faerielight Texture Pack from the new screen.
5, There WILL be a brief delay while the pack loads, then the background, buttons, and font should all change. Mouse over the Done button and make sure it highlights, then click it. Another brief delay before the main menu.
6, At this point it should be working. Let me know if it's not.
I've been a long-time reader of these forums, but your texture pack prompted me to create an account just to say THANK YOU! I downloaded the 256x version last night and the results are truly stunning. It's clear you put a ton of work into this, and that you're a very talented artist. Fantastic work!

Aww, that was amazing to read first thing in the morning, Thank you!! I am so honored that you're using it
Well, this texture pack looks godly, but it also makes my Minecraft melt. I can take maybe 5 steps before it runs out of memory, and half the time the textures don't load at all, which looks incredibly awkward. (Not that it matters, it still runs out of memory within seconds. :<) Guess I'll have to settle for a lower quality...

Yeah I have had that problem myself, Using the steps on the optifine thread which I'll post here in a second really helped my game play, additionally using the Magic Launcher helps, too -

1. Download the latest Java 7 builds from here: http://download.java.net/jdk7/. Minecraft should run much smoother with less lag spikes. It really helps.
2. Update LWJGL from here.
3. Lauch Minecraft with less memory (yes, really). It needs maximum 256 MB and runs fine on all settings with the default texture pack. By default java allocates too much memory (1GB?) which may get swapped to disk and the overall performance may suffer a lot. To start Minecraft with less memory:
Download and start the Magic Launcher.
Click Setup
Enter 256 in the field "Memory"
Click OK
Login and play
Magic Launcher doesn't work at all for me, sadly. On top of that, I could barely allocate more than 1.5GB to it in the first place. :<
I'll try updating Java and LWJGL, though. I'm pretty sure my Java's up to date, but it's worth checking. I haven't a clue if LWJGL is up to date.
For what it's worth, I'm running the 256x pack with default memory allocation (1GB) at about 150 FPS. I'm using the latest version of Optifine with all options turned on, the latest Java 7 64 bit, and I did a manual optifine install (no magic launcher). I have no other mods installed, and have not run into a single problem.
I believe the latest LWJGL update is included in MC 1.3.1. Definitley worth checking just to make sure.

a little thinner would be great
Aww, Thank you!!
I am glad you got it to work!!
You betcha, it used to be that way, but before I released the pack I wanted it to be.. noticeable, I think I'll make it a bit less noticeable
Thank you!! I wanted some mobs to be a surprise, but I guess I can show some pictures, took me a long time to make the mobs

This is one of the best 256x texture packs I've ever seen.
I've also made a small compilation of some of the mobs you may encounter..
I especially love the creepers.

Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoy it =)
Id add a picture, but I have no idea how to since the picture is on my computer and I dont see any options for it.
Also, I LOVE this texture pack
