That's actually a good idea ... recolered the purple texture for each variant to make them look consistent, turned out to be a really good improvement (comparison before/after):
I already did that, it appeared in the resource packs menu and i apply it and when i press done after that nothing happened and nothing change, and then i went again in the the resource pack menu it didn't apply your resource pack it keeps returning on the Available Resource Pack
First off Amazing texture pack, it really looks good!!
Secondly I like how you made the normal glass, but just a suggestion that when the normal glass is put together having it look like all of them are just one glass block/pane making it where the borders aren't there when they are connected together.
I just made an account to be able to post on this topic. I really wanted to say thanks for the awesome work you've been doing on this pack, it's absolutely fantastic! I've been including many of your textures and features in my own pack for a while and I can't wait to get the 1.13 textures and 3D trapdoors!
Apart from that, no major news from my side, but I could mention that there’s a Seed of Andromeda Discord server available now (link on the bottom of the OP). If someone’s still interested in the project or would like to contribute, this is the place to go.
This BTD update took a while to finish due to the significant changes on the vanilla side of the game in MC 1.14, now being shipped with a complete texture overhaul. I’ve looked carefully through all the new textures, compared them to the old vanilla textures or my custom ones and kept the better or at least acceptable ones in every case. Other major changes are:
- A massive update to the in-game font, now covering a bunch of new special characters as well as hebrew, armenian, vietnamese, upside down latin and runic character sets.
- Switched iron golems back to the vanilla appearance to stay consistent with the villager/pillager/ravager theme
- Lots of fixes, including missing repeater and comparator side textures
- Finally, particle.png has been split, allowing resource packs to modify them without breaking compatibility after each MC update. No more ugly green glint particles when fertilising crops!
- Added proper side textures for all stairs and double slabs of blocks with a seam (see polished granite/diorite/andesite or sandstone for example)
- New/old Nether portal animation: Replaced Misa’s old animation with an improved vanilla version of it, reducing its size by 90%.
- New, more complex 3D models for the two new furnace types
A complete list of changes can be found in the spoiler below. I hope you enjoy the new update
Fixed the ∅, ", ', •, һ, ⁊ and + characters not showing up in the in-game font
Fixed the in-game font's ү character leaking into the Ү character, as well as some stray pixels on other characters
Added a bunch of new font characters introduced in Minecraft 1.14, including hebrew, armenian, vietnamese, upside down latin and runes

Fixed the z-fighting inside the slit of the jukebox model
Added proper slab, double slab and stair side textures for all blocks with a seam (polished andesite, polished diorite, polished granite, quartz, prismarine bricks, sandstone and cut sandstone)
Switched the rather large Nether Portal animation to use the vanilla animation instead, but with 30% less opacity, which makes it look more acceptable. This also reduces the memory usage of the portal animation by 90%.
Improved the following new block textures added in Minecraft 1.14: Enchanting table (diamond corners) and the End rod base texture.
Kept the following pre-1.14 block textures in the pack: Brewing stand base texture, Dead Bush (as a random texture variant) and stone (random texture variants 2-4).

"Better than Default" v2.7 for MC 1.20 is available now!
The pack has been updated to version 2.6 for Minecraft 1.15. This is mostly a compatibility update, the only significant additions are a new pumpkin blur texture and a better appearance of the distinctive honey levels of bee nests/hives. A complete list of changes can be found below. As always, Mojang was rather busy squishing bugs, but not without introducing a bunch of new ones, unfortunately also including some visual bugs affecting this pack (beacon beam no longer transparent, some items rendered dark, etc.). Here's a hand-selected list of some noticeable bugs that could need a bit of extra attention:
MC-120335: Flower pot bottom texture is not rendered because of incorrect "uv" values in the model file MC-157727: The small cube in honey/slime blocks isn't displayed in inventory MC-161917: Particles do not render underwater, behind water or behind other transparent blocks MC-163153: Transparent parts of beacon beam texture appear black MC-166135: Bees inside a nest/hive don't grow up or get their breeding timer reset MC-166722: Some custom item models appear dark in the inventory MC-167045: Banners are rendered too dark in the inventory
MC-167526: Back part of the glint animation on an enchanted bow or crossbow shows z-fighting MC-167906: Beehive items at full honey level do not appear with honey in inventory/as item/in hand
Converted resource pack format to version 5 for Minecraft 1.15
Fixed chest texture and enchantment glint compatibility issues with Minecraft 1.15
Added the new character Є to the in-game font
Added a new pumpkin blur texture that looks more realistic, better fits modern 16:9 screens and also allows for a slightly better view while playing
Changed Dragon Breath and honey bottles to better fit each other and the other glass bottles
Fixed earlier wheat growth stages missing the pre-1.14 textures
Centered the new honeycomb item
Added and tweaked bee nest/hive front textures to show the exact honey level
Added a 95% transparent white background to the beacon beam texture as a more or less temporary workaround for MC-163153 (appears white for now, but should be transparent again when the bug is fixed)
Replaced three old main menu splash texts with new ones
Adjusted the colors of the Minecraft 1.15 main menu background to be closer to the in-game appearance of this pack
Have fun with all the new bees and bugs

"Better than Default" v2.7 for MC 1.20 is available now!
It has been a loooong time, but I finally managed to get this very outdated pack back in shape – covering five feature-rich Minecraft updates with countless changes and additions, making v2.7 the by far largest update for this resource pack so far. I’ll therefore avoid dropping the full changelog here, it’s simply too long. You can read all the details yourself in the Readme file within the pack. The following list provides a quick summary of the more significant changes:
Updated und converted everything to work with MC 1.20.4, added all the new things and fixed a lot of old stuff
Renamed a bunch of blocks, items and entities within the US/GB language files, to make names more consistent and more meaningful across the board. Notable examples are “Graystone” instead of simply “Stone”, “Carved Log” instead of “Stripped Log”, “Acorn” instead of “Oak Sapling”, “Octopus” instead of “Squid” or “Explosive Charge” instead of “TNT”.
Added hunger, armor, health, poison and air "preview icons" to several items, like food, armor, potions, etc.
Countless UI updates and improvements
Added new/improved 3D models for dripstone, most crops, saplings (now fruits!), lightning rods, wall torches, damaged anvils, sunflowers, lily pads, cacti, frog spawn and spyglasses
Added a simple "bushy leaves" feature to all leaf blocks for a much better in-game appearance
Completely overhauled droppers, dispensers, hoppers, pistons (new direction and status icons!) and noteblocks (incl. tuning display!), making them significantly easier and more practical to use
Iron golem damage stages as well as frogs got a new appearance
Added carvings to the renamed Carved Logs to make them more useful as decorative building blocks
Completely overhauled the appearance of Smithing Templates
Many sound and background music updates and improvements
Changed all music discs to play Minecraft's most iconic background music tracks instead of the mostly weird-sounding mono-channel vanilla record tracks
Remade the moon phases from scratch to give them a more natural appearance
Overhauled the font character sets – again
Added support for Minecraft-styled color emojis
Updated main menu splash texts, added ~150 additional ones
Again, for a complete and detailed list (very long!), see the Readme file within the pack.
I’ll admit, some of these changes may appear somewhat controversial at first glance (especially several completely renamed, retextured and remodeled blocks, items and entities), but they do, in my opinion, make absolute sense and, once one gets used to them, make many tasks within the game simpler, more straightforward and more enjoyable.
I hope you like this new version of Better than Default and wish you all a happy new year

"Better than Default" v2.7 for MC 1.20 is available now!
i think i'm in love
Also, I have a few questions:
1. When will the 1.11 pack be released?
2. What do you plan to do about map markings? (markings can be multiple colors so now your pack's map texture is broken)
also honestly i don't understand why mojang didn't do 3d shulker shells in the first place, the 2d texture just looks out of place
Wow you're working on SoA! That's awesome! I've been fallowing it's development for over a year now. I'm so excited to try it!
If I helped, or you just like my post, please press the button.
My mods...
I already downloaded your texture pack but when i try to use it it doesn't apply your texture pack
please tell me how to fix this i really like your texture pack most likely the glass

So i tried out the texture pack.

Hello everyone!
Finally, the pack is updated to v2.5 for Minecraft 1.14.4.
There’s a lot of things that happened since the last update, including a significant part of the forum being deleted basically overnight without properly informing everyone (see https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/forums/forum-discussion-info/2944101-regarding-disappearing-threads-posts-and-users), the forum almost dying (https://www.minecraftforum.net/news/60727-important-minecraft-forum-archive-announcement) and the forum being saved from permanent archivation shortly afterward (https://www.minecraftforum.net/news/60728-a-new-and-exciting-beginning). The cleansing (or whatever one can call that) affected this thread too, but I managed to reclaim it, thanks to the admin @Lord_Ralex. This means my pack will be still available on the Minecraft Forum for now.
Apart from that, no major news from my side, but I could mention that there’s a Seed of Andromeda Discord server available now (link on the bottom of the OP). If someone’s still interested in the project or would like to contribute, this is the place to go.
