Did you do anything to the pack? It isn't and shouldn't be that size that it says it is. Try downloading and installing mcpatcher or optifine. If that doesn't work then use a lower resolution is all I can think of. Back to playing doom 2!
Here is the first set of textures I have been working on to go along with uniblues texture pack. Here are some samples of what you can expect to see!
Here is a complete change log of what changes.
Added a brewing stand texture.
Added a brewing stand base texture.
Added a coal block texture.
Added a comparator texture.
Added a podzol texture.
Added a dragon egg texture.
Added a stained glass texture.(No ctm atm.)
Added a hardened clay texture as well as stained clay.
Added a hopper texture.(Still needs a texture for the item form.)
Added a ice packed texture.
Added the leaves, logs, planks and new log tops for trees that were missing or needed to be replaced.
Added rail activator and powered texture.
Added a connected texture version of both melon and pumpkin stem.
Added a red sand texture.
Added a redstone block texture.
Added a trip wire texture for both wire and actual trap.
Added icons for resource pack gui.
Added the missing icons.
Added an achievement gui texture.
Added a cookie texture.
Added a diamond texture.
Added a texture for five dyes.(Same texture just different colors.)
Added a fireball texture.
Added a glowstone dust texture.
Added a gunpowder texture.
Added a name tag texture.
Added a splash potion texture.
Added a redstone dust texture.
Added a sugar texture.
Added a texture for three heads.(Zombie, human and creeper.)
Added a map icons texture.
Added an underwater texture.
Added the missing painting.
Fixed piston inner texture.
Enjoy the free textures.

To use them make sure to have my resource pack above uniblues and make sure to match the resolution. Some files in my pack do replace some of uniblues work such as the paintings.
YES! I have been waiting for this! 1.7 compatible!
I know that you don't have the time you used to have before to make the resource pack, but i was wondering if you could still making the items, they're so awesome, i can live without the blocks, but the items, could you still making them?
am i the only one who can't download the 256 version of the pack (not generals additions but the original pack) my computer blocks the website for some reason.
Why does it say [1.7.2] in the topic headline but clicking on the links leads me to the 1.6.2 downloads only? Intended? Typo?
It works with 1.7.2, but I posted this texture while Minecraft still was in 1.6.X. I did that to prevent people from believing this was outdated and couldn't be used.
Hey Uniblue, I've just got a few questions. This is my favourite texture pack by far, by the way. I use 128x default.
1. Do you have an estimate on when the 1.7.2 textures will be out? Namely the Glass and new wood types, I understand it's not a click-your-fingers job but I always assumed you could just get the detail from a texture you've already done and mask it onto a minecraft 16x16 texture... or something like that, haha.
2. I noticed hardened clay variants aren't edited, even though they were added some time ago. Why is that? Did you not feel the need to texture them?
3. On the smooth realism variants, why are only stone/dirt/sand and basic blocks like that textured, while others are default? Is it just too difficult, cause those smooth textures DO look amazing.
Thanks for reading
Hey, thanks for asking.
1. As the top of my forum suggests: December, which means there will be an update soon.
2. If you head over to R3D.CRAFT's facebook page, you'll see several image previews of upcoming blocks in the Smooth version.
Regarding if it's "too difficult"; Nothings too difficult, but if there's something that doesn't look right, I don't include it. Luckily, I've found a work method that really simplifies the worst part of making Smooth textures: the shape drawing. Because you don't really get that much information out from 16x16 pixels. With this new method, I do.

The fact that you are "back in the game" has given me hope for this pack.. Though General is good (and I'm very appreciative) at the things he does towards the pack, They aren't of the same quality as your/Uniblue's textures. I am to say the least very ecstatic you have returned as this pack has always been the end all be all texture/resource pack for me at least. Very happy user!
Also must ask if you will be doing your own version's of the textures General put out in your absence?

I'm happy to be back as well. Glad we can share the joy
Now, General has been amazing with contributing his own textures so that you guys still can enjoy new textures in R3D.CRAFT. I have to say, great effort and good minded person indeed.
But I won't produce textures out of his material, mainly because my main source will always be the default textures, or else the whole concept of this texture demolishes. I hope you understand that.
Also, I'm glad to see someone using the new R3D.CRAFT support banner. Thank you!

when it comes out? Perhaps that will come before the upgrade 1.7.3
And if you wouldn't mind I would love to learn how you go about making the textures
Uniblue hasn't exactly said anything on leaving permanently so as long as he is still here my textures stay here.
Probably not.
I've added some exclusive image previews on R3D's facebook page. Follow this link:

It still works, just not everything is textured.

Nonetheless i'm elated that there will be a release today especially one for smooth as that is my favorite variant of the pack.
