I seem to be having a graphical bug with this texture pack, but can't find any information on it.
Every so often, the graphics will flicker, and become see through, in certain areas or chunks. It remains like this for a random amount of time, or until I place a block. Generally its the blocks in my immediate area that become invisible.
I've tried both of the 128, 256, and 512 versions with the same result. I've also tried optifine, and mc patcher, even both at the same time with no difference.
The last thing I could think of, was allocating more ram (4gb) but that did not help. My pc was running the 512 version at 150+ fps, So it shouldn't be a compatibility issue.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, This is the best texture pack i've ever used.
Cap your fps with vsync. It should fix your problem.
dont get mad. What i was trying to say is that the admin has to at least update us. General was the one that finished the texture pack. BTW you are awesome general.
I have been getting antsy waiting for uniblue to update so I have been updating the pack for myself, but like general I wont release any thing for a while.
this texture pack is great i have been using it for only a little while but its one of the best i have ever seen. can i ask a question? how do you make the textures? you can see very very small pixels in other big pixels ( pixel inception ) is it some kind of custom thing or just a special app or what?
Latest news: New job, which means there will be some bad news.
This year was my last year as a student. When I graduated, it didn't take long before I recieved an offer from an old pal about working as a producer in a studio, here in Norway. After some thinking, I thanked my friend and took the offer.
Now, my job consists of producing graphical video commercials. I like this job, and I wish to continue. Many friends and close ones have told me that I have been lucky, receiving that offer. It's actually pretty hard to get into this business, so I am pretty lucky.
This means, as maybe most of you have guessed already, that I will have less to almost no time to work on R3D.CRAFT. Even though I love working with still imagery, it's not giving me any substantial income at the moment. Please understand that R3D.CRAFT's importance for me has not faded, but this new job gives me what I seek at this moment. Enough income to one day move out with my girlfriend and create my own life.
Will there be any changes?
I'm afraid it won't. One solution would be to make this a community project, which basically means I will give my "owner-rights" to this project away to the community, making it open for others to change, add-to and release.
Another solution will be to give this project away to an individual, and I have one or two in mind already (you probably know who you are), and from there, agree how we split the rights and such as the project expands.
BUT considering how much time I've spent on this, I want to be a little greedy, I guess. I don't feel like giving this project away just yet. I might find out that I want to put off more time to continue making it.
I guess someone should suggest to the mods out there to make a mod that allows you to select which texture you want to use from two (or more) texture packs at once, so you could combine two textures and by that, solve the problem.
So there it is, folks.
Sorry that it went this way. If I had been a little younger than I started this project, maybe it would have had time to develop to the state BDCraft is at this moment. At least Sphax's able to live of making textures, which I have utterly respect for. Good artist.
Hmm.. While I perfectly understand your decision I think that you should maybe reconsider it. From all "Faithful" packs around, I like this one the most, and I'd rather stick to it. Like many other people. I guess. Personally, I could update the pack for personal use myself and all that stuff so it's not a big deal for me, but there are plenty of people out there that will just rage now (I'm sure you're aware of it)
So I came up with one solution that I think you didn't consider. I know that you don't want to give the project away but could you maybe let someone else update it just for the time being? Until you have time to update yourself? Just an idea. Like I said, I could do it for myself and all, but there are definitely people who would do better.
But if you just don't want to, that's perfectly fine - it's your work and you have the right to do whatever you want with it. Besides, maybe it's not as simple as I think it is, I'm not good with owner rights and this kind of stuff.
By letting someone else update it, it will create difficulties.
One would be; how may this artist who've just been allowed to add-to this texture keep the same style by close detail? I am so strict with design and how things look, I would most likely reject everything being made (this is why I don't work well in group projects).
Another would be; how do we split the revenue generated? Maybe the artist don't care about the money, but I don't want to receive revenue I've not fully earned. That's wrong.
Last one would be; what happens when I do come back? Should I just push away the artist, tell him to stop whatever he's doing, pat him on the shoulder and say "I'll take it from here"?
Oh, and I do know how people may react to this. I've been doing this for a long time. I've stated many times before that people's precious opinions about me as a producer and how I go forward with things, is irrelevant and is not taken to consideration by any aspects. I simply care only about the project. If people do not wish to take use of it, I'm not stopping them.

all good things must come to an end. great work, uni, this is one of the best texture packs ever created for minecraft... i wish you well in taking your life to the next level.
i guess this is where i finally learn how to make a texture resource pack
It would be nice to have this updated, but I'm really afraid of people doing to your pack what has been done to JohnSmith.
Complete and utter destruction of a very good pack.. They couldn't give it that same feeling, changed textures to make theirs fit better, and also because of so many different styles being added into the pack, it became a huge mess of random stuff.
The worst part is that between 1.4 and 1.7, not many textures were added as far as I'm concerned, yet the JSL pack looks far different from JohnSmith's original. I still have the original for this reason. I don't want the textures to be lost forever.
I feel the same would happen here. I'd rather have you not release ownership of the pack.
You have amazing talent when It comes to content creation. This texture pack had the potential to be a real presence in the minecraft community, but it was held back by its partial completion. So unfortunate that this pack will suffer, but with good reason. Congratulations on graduating and the new job!!!
Some things to consider...
Perhaps more frequent status updates. An informed community is happier than one which is ignored for months at a time. Every couple weeks or so update the forum with what is going on with the pack or yourself. This would keep fans of this pack hopeful and enthusiastic.
The growth of this packs popularity is tied to its completion. I find it difficult for myself to play minecraft with half redcraft and half default or other. Something like a 2nd unofficial community download on ur page in which yourself or one of the mods selects the best textures submitted by the community to fill the gaps. Upon selection, these individuals get credit on the forum page under the community pack and give away the rights to the textures they submit. This pack could be at %100 in a week. That means more people on ur page, talking about redcraft. It also sooths the community by providing them a complete pack to experience minecraft with. Even though this pack is not as refined and spectacular as the official, it would be complete and have the same theme that was inspired by uniblue.
The current method of trying to find fan created textures is to search the thread for posts containing links and downloads. I'm simply saying its possible to take the best of those, put them in a pack for your fans to download while you work on the official version. Minecraft adds textures every update. and with every update from minecraft, redcraft falls a little more behind each time bc you simply do not have the time to keep up.
You have an amazing gift that has inspired others to learn and explore content creation. Please consider allowing some type of community based approach on a second unofficial version that can be highly regulated by a single person. It would make a lot of your fans extremely happy, especially after your resent post that the official pack which hasn't been updated since JULY, will be losing even more time from you.
Again congrats on your recent successes. I wish u the best bro.
I completely agree with Sinistr0311MC. You have an amazing talent and congratulations on the job. It would be great to hear updates on what you are doing with life/resource pack. Even if you don't get any textures done for a while. No one will match with your style and the feel your texture pack brings to the game. A community download version is a great idea too!
please can someone help me with this im using mac, and iv downloaded the textures and it changes the game slightly but no where near where it should be i just dont know what im missing. and the opyifine and mcpatcher links arent working for me
Cap your fps with vsync. It should fix your problem.
Have some patience. That kind of attitude isn't going to make him work any faster.

If someone should have the rights, it would be general_007.
None else meets his level of dedication and activity to this project. He has my respect.
Don't think I'm not reading the comments, General
