Thank you for posting this. I was aware that I had a configuration problem on my server, but I wasn't aware it was affecting direct downloads. I'm going to move the files to a different server later this evening. I'll post an update when they're moved.
I'm still working out all the fiddling little details about formatting the description page and all that, but it looks like it's downloadable now, either directly from the website, or through the Curse Client, if that's how you roll.
As for the downtime, I'd like to apologize. Something broke on my webhost. I honestly have no clue what went wrong, but for some reason, I thought that only my "temp images" directory had been affected. I hadn't realized that basically all web access to all files in my account was blocked. I still haven't figured out how to fix it.
Thanks to everyone that took the time to drop me a PM, and tell me the problem existed. I'm very sorry that it took me so long to find another hosting option. As I'm sure many of you can understand, Minecraft is (at best) a hobby for me, and RealLife™ hasn't allowed me as much time as I'd like lately for fun and games.
To those of you wondering, I do still plan to redo the Crone's textures, more in line with the results of the user poll. And yes, I'll see about making a couple of user skins as well for those of you who wish to "blend" in with the NPCs.

hey I am making a custom map and I would really LOVE to use this texture for the villagers. They really suit it for the kingdom and there is even a king! you would be fully recognized for it! But I need your consent please?wait nevermind it already says I can use it and I will put your name there!
This is so nifty. Finally, those weird-nosed villagers are outie! Good job on this! And you can't even notice that they have big-heads with their hats.
Just did a bit of a google search, and found that a lot of people have basically ripped this texture pack, repackaged it, and are claiming all over the internet to have created it. I've also found a few sites which have basically just copied all my graphics from the post here, and put their own names on them too.
I honestly can't say I'm pleased with that.
There were a few sites, that did linkback to the original source thread here, or to the curse.com download link.. but many of those felt the need to wrap their linkbacks in adf.ly links.
The latter case, while a bit classless, is certainly permitted by the license the pack was released under.
That said, I'd like to remind people again.. if you're going to use my work, even try to sell it or monetize it, the only price I've asked is that you give proper attribution to me as the creator of the art/pack.
As we move into 1.6, and as I face the reality of having to figure out how convert the thing to a resource pack, it's not a great feeling to put in the effort to do that work, if people are just going to erase my name and put their own on for a bit of internet fame.
It really sucks, but is unfortunately the price of fame. A rough compliment to be sure. While most of the bigger MC sites will take stuff down there are sites less forthcoming.
I hope my converting your textures and putting them on my pack's customizer is acceptable. Credit has been given, but I will add a link.
Of course it's acceptable!
All I ever asked was just for a little "by zebragrrl" or whatever. Links are nice, but really it's quite an honor being in a customizer as it is. Just do what you do for others whose work you incorporate and we're good.
I just wasn't happy when I found a bald-faced rip on planetminecraft.
Hey! I've been a fan of these textures for a while! Even though I like the silly vanilla villagers, yours are excellent, and definitely fit the style of the game.
Just thought I'd pop in and show off what I'm doing with them:
I've used your Iron Golem texture to make the Clay Soldiers Mod look a little more familiar.
Instead of faceless neon cubes running around, now they're proper clay soldiers! It's still a work in progress, and just for personal use right now, but I just wanted to let you know what your textures are being used for.
I know, I know, this is blasphemy. But like I said, I kinda like those silly Testificates, and they look really spiffy in your clothes.
Also, the barmaid looks hilarious:
If someone wants these for some reason, here they are! Each class comes in a bald and hairy variant, and the crone comes in either normal or pale color.
Butcher
Farmer
Librarian
Priest
Smith
Villager
Witch
Anyway, sorry for going entirely against the whole point of this pack, but I think these go well with vanilla random mobs.
Sometimes when I start tinkering with textures I get a little carries away...

Sorry.
I think you should do other things like the char.png and zombie.png, and also some blocks maybe?
Anyway Awesome Villagers
I'm fairly excited to announce that Stevian Villagers has now been uploaded to the Curse texture pack repository.
Stevian Villagers, now on Curse.com!
And of course
over at Curseforge.com too!

Yay! Cool!
