After a long month of hard work, a lot of learning, and a great deal of pestering from my friends, Unsettling Village is finally released! With this I hope to convey a subtle creepiness. It has a darker palette and many mobs have alternate textures! This pack is a 16x, 1.8.1 compatible, and is still a work in progress. As such, textures are always subject to change, and constructive criticism/critique is always more than welcome (if you're polite)! (;
This pack is Randomobs compatible!

Highest on my list of things to do is the art for paintings. After that I will work on 1.9+ compatibility & items. I also intend to figure out custom water & lava.
11/11/2011 : Initial Release. Terrain.png & mobs are completed through 1.8.1. (Cave spiders are also textured.) Environtment elements such as boats, signs, etc. are completed through 1.8.1.
I feel like I've watched Abby make this texture pack over the last month. I don't normally go for darker texture packs but the skin choices for mobs makes me squee, so hard, that I'll use it for that reason alone. <3 If I had to give other reasons one would be that it still feels classic minecraft-y. I like to look at minecraft in my minecraft, not a completely different game.
I think you stole that enderman skin, or somebody stole yours. Correct me if i'm Wrong...
Would you like to show me where? I can tell you honestly I built every single texture from the ground up in Photoshop. I have no reason to steal textures because I have the knowledge and skill to make them on my own.

<333 I know I told you already but thanks very very much Meru. c:
Hah! Perhaps. There's two other Endermen skins if someone prefers something more classic... Or more silly. (; I'm going to work on getting nice screenshots of the various mob alternates today, so you'll see what I mean soon enough!
And to everyone else, thank you for your kind words. n__n
I can't even begin to tell you what a case of the stomach butterflies I had when I posted this last night.
Stuff I'd like to change:
1. Grass feels a bit too noisy.
2. The grass color is a bit too dark to look good with the sky, sand, stone etc.
3. Birch cold need darker spots, they almost look brushed on right now.
4. More bricky styled cobblestone? You should set up a customizer. :smile.gif:
5. More consistent shading of wool. They look good as a single piece, but for carpets, flags etc they look weird, almost like pearls.
6. Shade the trees so they look rounder.
7. Make the pumpkin rounder.
8. Reduce noise on melon a bit.
1 & 2: I'll definitely work on the grass more. I have a love-hate relationship with it. xD
3: Will tweak the birch for sure!
4 & 5: I know I would like to make some alternate cobble, wool, and glowstone for sure. (I'm brainstorming a nice decorative glowstone at the moment.) Wool like that has always been a personal preference of mine, but I know I'm in the minority there, so a wool that tiles smoothly on large expanses will definitely be a thing sooner or later. (: Will have to look into doing a customizer too, since that's way more accessible to the average player than swapping out various terrain.pngs.
6-8: I'll see what I can do. c:
There have been alot of great 16x16 sprouting up from nowhere, and I say, this is probably my favorite, scratch that, favorite texture pack, at least in a long while. Just wondering possibly if you might help me once i'm done completing my texture pack, if you could help me set up the pictures like how you did on the forum :/ But nice pack.
