Glad to see people still use and enjoy this texture pack.
I do too on occasion but I'm still stuck on my Cubiclife texture pack, it's so much better
That said...
This Texture pack is updated to 1.3.1
Also included is mod support for Connected Textures!
And as an added bonus I've finally added Thirst Mod textures too!
Enjoy it folks.
I saw this post and was overjoyed! Now for 1.3? Hooray! I downloaded and installed the x256 version immediately. However I notice that it's quite laggy. I only get 10 -20 FPS. Before you go telling me my computer is crap let me list my specifications.
Asus P7P55-M Motherboard
Intel i7-870 2.93 Ghz 4 cores 8 threads processor.
8 GB 1333 Mhz Ram
GT 640 with 901 Mhz / 921 Mhz (overclocked) 2 GB of VRAM 398 CUDA cores.
That is an overkill system to be playing minecraft on. I can play extreeemely high-end games on highest quality. There's NO reason that this texture pack should be lagging. I used an HD patcher and I'd like to know if there's something I've done wrong. I REALLY want to make this texture pack work properly as it looks simply AMAZING!

I have noticed something in latest builds of Minecraft that use mcpatcher AND optifine. Should you choose a texture pack of high resolution (For example 256x) then the game will be extremely laggy upon playing.
I found out that closing the game and re-opening it fixes this problem.
Not sure what the cause is though, you're correct it shouldn't be lagging but it does...
I hope this helps.
This happened for me too, but I copied the zip file to the minecraft texture pack directory, select in the game, and woa, it works perfect!
Amazing texture pack, thanks for that!
By the way, this "buy the game!" skin for my character is make me ******* nervous, because I purhased the game!
Glad you like the pack.
and DANG IT! I thought I removed that a while ago. I've just personally reuploaded all the files again, inspecting each one and making sure it's gone. It is now.
But it's actually caused by the character not having a skin. I'd recommend uploading one to minecraft.net
In the meantime feel free to redownload the texture pack
thanks for removing! Me and my girlfriend are happy to play minecraft with your texture pack
No problem, thanks for reporting it because I promised to remove it ages ago and I did for all my other packs, must have forgotten this one.
Hope you and your girlfriend both enjoy this pack for a very long time.
Post some screenshots if either of you take any!

WELL I'm not ENTIRELY sure what happened, but after running it in multiplayer I find it runs much more smoothly now. I won't lie and I'll say the FPS seems to be a bit choppy (Which shouldn't be, because I can run Crysis on medium 30 - 50 FPS smoothly) But I'm not going to complain about it because it isn't enough to damage my gameplay. Once again I thank you for this wonderful creation! It's my favorite texture pack yet! I won't be changing from it anytime soon.
EDIT: I also seem to have noticed that there's no image for the emerald in your inventory. Or the Book. A possible glitch perhaps? Or did you just not code those in?
I'm about to throw my desk out of the window.
I swear I did all this ages ago... Seems that I didn't.
Crap. Time to reverse course and head back to dock.
We're going to need a big checkup.
Looks like you're either using Optifine or some other form of shaders.
Play around with the settings, it's got nothing to do with my pack.
(It looks like you're using Fast settings)
Gah it's just one thing after another, but I'm done with reuploading the files now.
I'll fix it when I get back from holiday (Mid-Late September)
Alternatively the texture is available in my Cubiclife texture pack (Much superior pack to this one)
Feel free to grab it from that one and perhaps even try the pack out, you shouldn't be disappointed if you liked this pack
I haven't updated to the latest version yet because I haven't updated my minecraft yet, but I thought I'd just drop in and let you know how much I appreciate all the work you put into this pack. Minecraft wouldn't look anywhere near as good without it.
I find it quite interesting that a few posts back you said that Cubic Life is far superior to Photorealism. I think they're both fantastic, of course, but if anything I think I slightly prefer this one. Though in reality I like certain textures from both. I suppose my ideal texture pack would be picking and choosing from my favourite KDS textures from across your packs. Who knows, maybe if I get bored I'll open up the packs and try it!
I'm going to be sure to redownload both of them once I update my client, and I'll do that once I know my mods are going to be up to date.
If you're interested, the screenshot in my avatar was taken in Photorealism, the same as all my screenshots. I won't clutter your thread with them, but if you want to see how good your texture pack looks on some Napoleonic ships there's plenty of screenshots in my threads.
Sorry if this was already answered, but why when I use this mod does my character have a head that says "Buy the game?" I already have. And why does my dyed armor not show the colors?
Edit: Just wanted to say the reason these oddities are an issue is because I LOVE this texture pack, and I'd like to be able to use it without the weirdness.

The character is a char.png in the texturepack. It is suppose to steve skin, but you probably didn't buy minecraft or didn't change the skin, so you get stuck with steve. The reason for the buy the game skin was probably to say the message to "Stop playing cracked/illegal versions of the game and buy it", or something like that. I have been a non-premium for 1 day then bought minecraft because it was awesome. You can change the buy the game skin by replacing the char.png in the texturepack. The leather armor textures are probably incomplete.
As I said above. I did buy the game. I own a legitimate purchased copy. And I did change the skin to the tintin skin on the website. When I use this texture pack it replaces my tintin skin with the "buy the game" head, and the dark body.
Thank yo for replying though. I suppose I will find the files for the tintin skin and put them in the texture pack as you suggested.

I'm off on Holiday for a year or two heh
Nothing has changed, only added.
Screenshots please?

Wha? Just click download in the description.
I'm glad you think so.
Update: Mod Supports are still being drawn up. Should be impressive when complete.
Glad to see you like the texture pack.
Texture packs are now updated to 1.4.2, also included new Villager textures
