Since I found this pack, I can hardly stand to play without it. When they deleted your thread, I was absolutely dumbfounded. This is my #1 texture pack, and I would like to thank you for all the time and effort you have put into it.

Thanks for the support, I was also dumbfounded, but it was my own fault they sent me a PM while I was away during summer and I didn't respond.
I'm working on the next version that I plan to release in the next few days, it's going to have the new armor skins, buckets and meats and it will have a new animated torch texture, it's really cool it makes the torch have a "burning/flaming" effect while it is in your hand and when it is placed as well, it really adds a lot I'm excited about it, it is of course optional if people don't want it they can delete the animated texture file and get the normal non-animated one, from what I have seen however it doesn't affect the game performance all that much and the result is just awesome.
Also I updated my rotator mod today for 1.8.1, it is really really sweet, you can check it out here MC rotator Mod the new version has a "redstone mode" so you can literally make 'fans' that push and pull mobs and your character that you can turn on and off using redstone power sources I'm really really proud of it as it uses entities and not blocks so it won't corrupt saves :wink.gif:
Last texture pack update was only 2 weeks ago..... last official minecraft patch was 2 months ago, and you paid them money. :smile.gif:
Also I don't even play this game, I just like to mod things so my attention has been diverted to my rotator mod.
I do have an update in the works including custom animated torches and the finished armor skins, possibly more, no worries there will be an update soon probably before the official minecraft release on the 18th.
Right now I'm playing on a 1.9.5 pre-release and the current version of the texture pack works great, don't know why some people are pushing for an update when nothing is broken...

Exactly nothing changed from release 4 to release 5, I'd rather do an update that actually adds something worth adding.
So far I have armor skins done, custom animated torch, which is sweet, new buckets! New pork chops and steaks. I would like to try to squeeze a couple more updated things into the update but I'm thinking tomorrow is the update that way people can play around with it this weekend :smile.gif: so keep an eye out.

I'm highly considering waving grass, I was one of the first people to mess with the GLSL waving shader with wildgrass, and I liked it but the GLSL mod has always been kinda flaky and incomplete, doing it with animated textures would greatly improve compatibility. Trouble is OpenGL animated textures use a **** ton of memory because they have to use raw frame by frame animation, so with higher resolutions this greatly increases the amount of texture memory needed very quickly. The good news is, the animated textures are easy to swap in and out, and don't affect the base pack so if people don't like them or can't run them they could just delete the animated file and then it would use the default terrain graphic. I think the grass is really the only other thing I would add it to as anything else would be overkill.
The animated textures are really really cool though.... it makes me want to do a 64x sci-fi pack..... loaded with cool blinking lights and stuff hehe maybe someday :smile.gif: gotta finish this one first

sounds great, though you will most probably wont need allot of frames for the grass/leaves, unless you want to make it look super ultra omgeloucious!!!!
btw i dont think i will be able to run it when it has allot of frames though...
i need to get more ram :dry.gif:
Edit: o and you should consider animating the furnace and juxebox aswell

I thought about the furnace as well, but like I was saying it takes a lot of memory I just don't think that the effect is worth the compatibility/performance trade-off. It takes about 20 frames of animation to get smooth animation, I believe it is based on a 40 ticks per second rate. I'm going to play around with animated/waving grass in the next few days we'll see how it does.
Also Umm, what became of the Minecraft Enhanced mod, the one that could change the size of the stars and the skybox and everything? I would really like to know where that went/is. :happy.gif:

With all the pre-releases, and major changes to the renderer in 1.8 I held off on updating it until official minecraft is out, also one of the features was moon cycles, which notch added to the game officially. I have a lite version available for 1.8.1 that is just the increased view distance and 2d fancy clouds, you can get it on the double view mod thread.
So it will be back soon, as soon as notch releases the game/modding stuff, or MCP gets updated for Minecraft official 1.0

Really selfish of you!
what do you mean, i did not expirience any double adfly :huh.gif:
I usually test the links 2-3 times before I post, so it would seem as though it is something on your end....
Best not to make assumptions about things.
