Ever wanted an HD texture pack that isn't too realistic or isn't RPG themed, that is just minecraft themed?
Minecraft Enhanced has been in developement for 3 years now, it has come a long long way staying currently updated since minecraft was in Alpha, it paved the way for a lot of the others.
This pack features "d3fin3d" Font because there is no reason to reinvent the wheel and this font is exactly what mine would look like, check out the authors thread at D3fin3d
GET MCPATCHER HERE FIRST, THIS WILL NOT WORK WELL WITHOUT IT! Lower FPS!!! MCPATCHER THREAD
Additional download Info
You can still use this pack without MCPATCHER as of Minecraft 1.5, but it is recommended you stick to the sub 128x version, as the 256x version isn't playable without MCpatcher.
IF you Don't like the RANDOM grass and rocks/flowers via CTM mod, just simply delete the CTM folder from the pack and it will revert to vanilla!
NOTE: Due To massive changes in the 1.4/1.5 I have uploaded 3 different versions for compatibility reasons. Also MCpatcher seems to be quite buggy these last few versions, make sure you have Minecraft working with Default textures and MCpatcher before you install the pack or you will possibly get a black screen.
Also it is highly Recommended that you increase your java heap size to 3gb+ or CTM will crash the 256x Version on the pack!!!
For the Best Performance/Quality Ratio Feel free to mix and match the packs, new with minecraft 1.5 the textures do not need to be the same resolutions! So you can use 256x items with the 128 pack and get great performance results with little loss in quality!
Thanks for using the Adfly links and not complaining, I put a lot of work into this, literally thousands of hours over the last three years, just click the yellow box in the upper right hand corner!
If you like this pack and want to support it feel free to donate to my paypal in my sig, it's always appreciated.
That looks stunning i will download it later :biggrin.gif:.
Great work,great work indeed.

Need more space for my sig and if i helped you then be sure to press the green + button near the right corner of my post,it's like saying thanks but better :D.
Cool, i'd like to see it finished. :smile.gif:
(bookmarked)
Minus the Armor and 1 or 2 of the new items, it is finished :smile.gif: getting closer, I'm picky so it takes a lot of time to work out things I don't like.
I thought you were gone.
I'm very happy to the my favourite texture pack back!! :biggrin.gif:
Nah I wasn't gone, there just wasn't a minecraft update for a couple months, and it was summer. so I hadn't been on the forums and when I was gone they deleted the thread :*( so yah kinda sucks, but Yah I'm still around.
Kinda crappy to lose my thread that had almost a half million hits.... Oh well life goes on, Hope you guys enjoy the new update, I worked my ass off on it the second the 1.8 pre-release came out that way I could be ready for patch day.
You're gonna love the iron bars I do :smile.gif: everything I build now I'm like hmmm how can I put bars on this.
Please add a non-adfly download link for both 256x and 128x texture packs. I want this pack badly but your adfly link screwed me over with a 'survey completion requirement' page.
Best texture pack ever!
First time that I actually use one more than a day before getting to the standard again, but after a while I get the error "Run out of memory" : (
If you have a 64 bit OS, usually installing 64 bit java fixes this issue and will make the game run better anyway, note that by default the Oracle downloader installs 32bit java because it determines which one to install via the web browser and most are 32bit.
Just uninstall your current java and google "java 64 bit" if you have a 64 bit OS and it should help, if you still have a 32bit Os I would highly recommend getting a 64bit one, as a 32bit OS will not address more than 4gigs of total system memory which in this day and age is pretty sub standard.

There is a catch there though. If you use the windows minecraft exe launcher it will still launch minecraft in the java 32bit even if you have the 64bit java installed. The 64bit java will drop down to 32bit since the launcher is 32bit not 64bit.
The way around this is download the the minecraft.jar launcher from Minecraft's website and use a string something like below to launch the launcher.
note: the minecraft.jar file in that command line is NOT the one that is auto-updated, etc. That is the pure java launcher than you can download. I downloaded it and put it in the root of the .minecraft folder.
Be sure when you make the shortcut to specify your minecraft folder in the "Start in: box. i.e.:
Ohhh god, I'm excited to see the Minecraft Enhanced mod that went with this before. That beautiful night sky with comets, and the various settings like view distance... Glorious.

I will update the mod and place it in the Released mod forum once the new MCP is out, I have been able to partially update some of it, but it's really a pain so I'm just gonna wait for MCP. So keep an eye out for it.
Finaly i can use this pack again. It was annoying me so much that i was never able to find it. everytime i went to the thread it said it got locked or something. I love this pack
