Heya, it's nothing personal. The reason your getting some flak is because the community has seen a lot of texture packs that are based heavily off of the default texture. No one means you any disrespect, but it's very hard for the community to offer only positive guidance on something we see multiple times on a daily, if not, hourly basis.Best advice I can give ya is to really take your time and do a few textures, the basics (dirt, grass, gravel, stone, cobble), post the screenshots (no download is needed) and get some good honest feedback. I guarantee [degraph seal of guarantee inserted here] that if you make them entirely from scratch, you're going to get a lot of positive encouragement and feedback.
