this one took a while... my sketch was way too small... thanks go to Aageon for pointing me in the right direction on how to get this one cleaned up and workable.
the wet biome grass.. thought vines should work yeah?
posted a link to the shaders I use on the op, pre-configured the way I run them. I will probably get the new plants cleaned up some an release an update later today or tomorrow. I know they are mostly temporary, but they aren't borrowed..lol
aaand..the other mushroom... wish they could be semi-transparent... have them looking badass as phosphorescent ghost mushrooms. but alas mc won't let me use them :sad.gif:
I kinda misused the word smooth...lol was going for easy on the eyes but smooth sounds better haha. I like what you are doing with your pack... I just learned the last few days how hard it can be to sketch & scan.. and still make it look right. (new plants...lol) Keep practicing those sketching skills!
not gonna get anything done today.. I'm not feeling too well. But I am uploading the update for testing so expect that in a few min. will change the thread title when it's up.
Okay so I have been playing with your pack for a few days and have come to this conclusion: I love it but the Pumpkins and Bookshelves don't work out for me. Thats all really. I LOVE the wooden items and the stone items are perfect for me. The glass is just wonderful now that I fixed it and the water/lava are nice to look at. I'm very impressed with your work and gi8ve you a 8/10 my good sir. Continue with this work please. :biggrin.gif:
just got these done... not feeling well so it took forever. I couldn't help but use photos for this one.. I have been holding on to the base textures foreeeever and wanted to tear them apart..lol
@Jason: I am doing new bookcases! those are from my old pack, and looked too cool not to have for a bit longer...lol umm.. I'm also doing 2 other pumpkin types so far. I need to change the op, but this will be essentially 3 packs.(or more) I have a couple themes in mind(the new plants reflect the rpg style) and one will have a proper pumpkin. :smile.gif:
@wolffe: the textures themselves or that graininess you get from a distance? the former at least for me is for depth, the latter can be fixed to a point with the mipmapping shader.
I went to download it and it's 151mb???
Is that just for the textures?
Is it possible to make it a smaller size?
I really want to use this but I'm afraid 151mb is WAY too big >_>
EDIT:
Also, how do I know if my card has GSGL enabled?
Google was not my friend on this one.
I'll try to cut it down a little... but it's not likely to get much smaller without losing animation quality. And.. GLSL is a mod. If you don't use it just remove the terrain_nh.png and the terrain_s.png from the pack. That will cut out 21mb.

edit: and btw average view count over the last 3 days is 800 views per day...that's ffin awesome!
The only thing is, all 256x packs just seem so....grainy? I have yet to see a good looking one.

But dont you need a special card for GSGL?
